I can't find anything official on this from the club.

Why would the club do this? If true I can only assume it's due to illness because many have commented on this forum about him looking unwell recently.

It has to be something to do with his health. (if this is not a wind-up). I've seen him look pretty poorly on a couple of occasions: not on Sky when he's had the benefit of make up.

Whatever his failings as a SL coach or anything else, I really wouldn't want to see the guy ill either by the stress of the job or because of just general poor health.

Lets face it the stress McRae is under is considerable .

recent results the level of expectation & our reaction won't have helped if he is feeling the pressure.

wanted McRae back down under but wouldn't want to see him 6' under

hope it's nothing serious.

although i can't help but feel that this is a very convenient way for all parties to get what they want. if after a month the decision is that he doesn't return, then the club gets to re-invigorate the coaching system, and Shaun McRea gets to walk away with his dignity intact without being fired or seen as a quitter.

If true, as much as I want to see McRae leave the club I sincerely hope any health problem isn't serious.

I'd imagine the stress for SM must be immense considering the extra money the club have spent on new players, the fans higher expectations and it and it being built up to be an historical last year at the Willows. Further to this it's such an important year for the club with franchises at stake and moving to the new stadium next year. Add to this the personal abuse he's endured recently from fans and he must feel like he's got the weight of the world on his shoulders with injuries and tough Wigan and Leeds fixtures just around the corner.
