Watched him against cas reserves on fri night and can see why he's playing there !!!

maybee we should try playing ratchford and myler together as smith has been shocking and ratchford has been excellent recently and may bring myler onto his level as his performances have dropped

In fairness to Karl Fitzpatrick he has been out injured, but your right he has been hot and cold since his return from injury.

But for some reason Karl has been playing at scrum-half in the last couple of reserve games and things have not gone well for him in that position to be honest.

Interesting post St Ives but factually wrong:
"myler has signed for wire " - Myler has not. His contract at Wire may be ready but any signing would fail under RL rules. He has not put pen to paper yet.
"karl is a great talent and can turn a game any time" - yes, Karl is a talent and his surge into the line does create chances but he has very few other tactics: ratchford, Smith and Myler put people into gaps.

I've continued being a huge Karl fan but feel his days are numbered. And that would be true whatever team or coach.

Since the injury Fitzy's performances have been well below what he produced up to 2007. I can only recall one instance against decent opposition (Wakey in the cup last year) where he showed his elusive trade mark step to break the defensive line.

It was said last year that Fitzy was coming back from a bad injury and he needed time plus a full pre season training to get his sharpness back. In all fairness he's had the time plus pre season and was given a few chances early season but still looked a shadow of his former self.

It is a great pity but it looks like his Superleague days are numbered due to his former injury.

Who told you that Fitzy's agent! or is that the same Bradford where Fitzy's other half is part of the medical team? :

Fitzy is finished as a superleague player, he was a good, entertaining player for us and I thank him for that but he should be released at the end of the season.

Hopefully he'll get set up with a decent NL1 side but I don't want him to be taking anymore wages from us.

did he come back from his achilles injury too soon?

Don't know how long these type of injuries usually take but to my knowledge it was about 9 months between Fitzy getting the injury and playing again.
What I do know is that Fitzy has only managed 9 Superleague games since 2006 and he'll soon be 29.

He was a decent player for Salford in his earlier years at the club. I really hope he can make a comeback and find some form but the longer it goes the less unlikely it is.

Yes and in hindsight the coaches made an error of judgement by offering him a new deal a couple of years back as it's left an already small squad even smaller. Having said this it's a no win situation because if the club hadn't signed him and Fitzy had gone somewhere else and done well us supporters would have been up in arms.

If Fitzy isn't going to figure next year maybe the club could loan him out to an NL club on a 'pay as he plays' type of deal?

yes he has end ov 2010 hopefully fat mc out and then he might get back in ,if he dont get in next few weeks think he will be off to bulls ,they want him now but he under contract

Who knows if Shaun Mc doesn't fancy Fitzy and Steve Mc doesn't rate Michael Platt maybe a swap deal could suit both clubs?

Still worth a go at fullback for a few games see if he as got his fiz back, no relegation no worries but will Mcrae bring him in from the cold or keep bleeting about how small our squad is i dobt it it would have happened by now?

If he does go to bradford ill be very very disapointed unless we buy another fullback

I agree. In addition to him, and with the release of Robbie Paul, we now need to get rid of Stuart Littler an Philip Leuluai. We will then have gotten rid of much of our deadwood who arent up to SL any more. If we replace these 4 with younger, quicker players we will be much better next season.

In the meantime I reckon there is no harm in putting him to the test with a superleague game, what have we got to lose by doing that, he gets to see if he's up to superleague level and he can prove a point (maybe). We're not getting relegated, and I think a playoff spot is a bit beyond us at the mo. Wilshere back to wing, fitzy fullback. No harm done, he may play a blinder especially if he's been playing in his wrong position in the reserves. I don't think we have much to lose by having a play around with the team. (sorry that sounded a bit rude when I read it back

you all seem to forget that there is not many in this team up to super league level and feel fitzy has been one of the better players what the hell has any body else done better ,and i think he will have to be given more than one game as a lot of the others have had 15 to 20 and still done all
