ON ANOTHER NOTE IS THAT LATE GREAT LADY DORIS HALL GOING TO GET A MENTION IN THE NEW STADIUM SHE DID EVERYTHING FOR THIS CLUB DURIN THE SEVENTIES SHE REALLY WAS A LEGEND

I agree about crediting names from our past in the new stadium. I would also suggest the Gus Risman stand. However we will proabably go down the same route as other sports teams and use the sponsors name all over the place. History and tradition don't matter to sports clubs anymore in general. Money talks.

In all the meetings that I have attended connected with the stadium when John Wilkinson was in attendance it has been clearly stated that the fans will be asked for their views on what the various stands, banqueting suites etc should be named.

The stadium name could be after a sponsor but will almost certainly include the City of Salford as well but I would assume that the naming rights for the stadium in that location could be fairly lucrative and the development company may want some return on their outlay, which I think is fair.

Ex players, coaches and supporters should be recognised equally so contact the club now with your suggestions Fao Dave Tarry.

That was pre Peel taking over, when it was our stadium owned by us. Now it's Peels stadium rented by us. They can do whatever they want. We either accept that or say goodbye to a new franchise deal in 2 years

I dont mean the whole stadium just a stand, you cant leave a stadium you have been at for over 100 years and not have something in remembrance, I know there going to do the garden but naming a stand would be good as well

Because, the ground won't actually belong to Salford RLFC will it? So wouldn't be upto Peel what the ground and the stands are called? I somehow doubt they will turn their noses up at a stand sponsor so we feel a bit of rememberance. Unless ofcourse we fund it.

And even if it did I would go more down the lines off the 'The Gus Risman Stand'
