| About this time last year we were linked with Dave Taylor, the Coal Train.
Deal seemingly collapsed because Tim Sheens wasn't keen on him and didn't see him as the right fit for the club.
I find Sheens decision baffling. Taylor is now on fire at Catalans and is one of the top 5 contenders for Man of Steel this year. He can do long minutes, play various roles in the forward pack, brings size that we desperately need up front, has a surprisingly decent kicking game and most of all would give us an extra forward which we are short on. He's still only 27.
I ask simply, did the club make a mistake in not signing Taylor?

| To be honest Mario, having lived in Australia and knowing how difficult some Aussies find it to adapt to the UK, and in particular the north west where
most clubs are (I know a lot adapt very well but not all), my personal thoughts were that it might be a risk for those reasons alone.
I'm a massive fan of Dave Taylor and his size belies talents some smaller players would die for.
It's only my humble opinion, but I can see David adapting really well in the south of France, especially with it's warm climate. I'm not in the least surprised
that he is playing really well and also has other ex NRL players around him. Just my thoughts.

| Big fan too but his trial awaits He was left out of the Queensland State of Origin team and was later dropped to the Titans Queensland Cup feeder club mid-season. In October, he was ordered to stand trial over the cocaine charges."

| He should have gone just down the Lancs a couple of miles, he would have found a need for his 'services'.
