I was a young lad at the time and my position was centre. I was a big admirer of Chris and he was the type of centre that created chances for his winger rather than himself.
I was 12 that weekend of the final, and went with the rest of the tribe.
We were lucky enough to be right above the players tunnel, with our Salford banner.
At half time my younger brother needed the toilet, so my mum worked her way all the back up to the back to find the toilet, but couldnt get back, due the the size of the crowd.
So she had a word with some one and they took her down to the balcony above the players tunnel and brought out 2 chairs for them to sit on.
It would not happen today jobs worth.
But she said when the players came of the pitch some of them were crying, and yes it was a try and yes we should of won .
