Regarding the hit on Mason Caton Brown , for all the world it appeared to me a clenched fist to the cheekbone which caused the damage , might be wrong but thats how it looked to me.

From someone in my long gone past, comes the old adage: "Remember, lads, you're playing against 14 : the ref is always on the other's side so play with that in mind".

There was nothing in the Caton-Brown hit. He was stooping low to catch the ball and as soon as he had taken it the Hull player hit him hard, but fair. I think the fact the Hull player fell on top his head (because he caught the ball stooped down) combined with his head hitting the floor knocked him clean out.

If you want to be picky, it's actually "clotheslined". All one word.
