mmm I think you may need to study your geography & meteorology a bit more
The Manchester Ship Canal which runs just behind the stadium reaches 60' above sea level at the Manchester end - now with the atmospheric adiabatic lapse rate of approximately 2degrees C per 1,000' that represents a decrease of just 0.12 degrees below the temperature at sea level, hardly significant (and I don't know the altitiude of the HKR stadium for a true comparison)
That's the geography - as for the meteorology you are wrong there as well
