Quote ="TheButcher"Firstly, it's good etiquette for any player to appear focused at the task in hand. Not to mention the right attitude for a professional athlete. How many loan players have you heard say 'Well, I'm going back at some point so I'm not really bothered about this Club.' It wouldn't sit well with anyone would it? Reading anything into statements from the player, unless they're statements stating the obvious, like 'I want to stay here.' or 'I'm looking forward to going back.' are pointless.
Secondly, the presumption that he's made 'massive' progress at Cas due to everything at Cas being a land of milk and honey is very short-sighted view. Nearly every Cas fan thought the loan of Sneyd was extremely underwhelming before he'd touched a ball. This shows that not many of you had watched Sneyd at all and how he'd been our stand-out young player for over a season. The only difference in Sneyd then and now is that he's playing in a side at the other end of the table. His game is the same. His abilities have not suddenly boosted beyond what they were before.
Thirdly, can Cas fans please stop presuming they have a direct connection to Marc Sneyd's cerebral cortex. Cas = Happiness, Salford = Misery. Cas = emotional fulfillment, Salford = Greed and sloth. Please stop presuming you know the inner thought processes of another human being.
Surely, by now, the best thing is to enjoy the rest of the season and let the whole thing sort itself out at the end of the season. The constant dissection of language, body language, guessing, wild claims, and general straw-clutching is starting to get embarrassing.
Enjoy the season. The rest will sort itself out.'"
The most sensible post I've read regarding this. I can't believe how many fans from both sides are making themselves look like total fools.
