Quote ="Handy Andy"I've been sitting on my hands since Sunday but after reading posts from a variety of places, I need to join in.
Dr Koukash is an academic. As such, he should have the nouse to check his sources to establish the truth of what happened.
I watched him walk to the West Stand to placate his supporters and the view from where I was, was 'Respect'. So much so, that when he walked back to his place in the stands, we applauded him.
Reading what he said to the press left me astounded and all respect has been withdrawn.
Some people feel that all publicity is good publicity but I disagree. In this case, stating that 'we don't want this in 'our lovely game'', really angered me.
Surely bringing this situation to the national press helps to damage 'our lovely game'.
With respect to Dr Koukash, he has been in 'our lovely game' for less than five minutes and if he continues with his ill thought out soundbites, he will bring 'our lovely game' into disrepute.
This is the kind of publicity we really don't need.
My OH and I were considering buying season tickets for next year, alongside our Warrington tickets. We now have to think again

Well, I hope you will reconsider.
There's another aspect to this story that no-one seems to be focusing on, certainly not the lynch mob on the Warrington forum: the story told to him by the numpty was then [iconfirmed by a steward[/i. So, we appear to have someone directly or indirectly employed by Warrington RLFC telling a bare faced lie to the chairman and owner of another SL club, leading to no small degree of embarrassment for that chairman. I would have thought this was worthy of some form of apology from Warrington, but, as far as I know, none has been forthcoming [inor has one been asked for[/i.
I think that's worth some respect, don't you?
