I think this is a Koukash signing more than a Noble signing , anyone who listened to the BBC 5 Live Radio program when Noble , Koukash & Morley were all guests , Koukash was effusive with praise about Adrian , as a Icon , so any signing I would expect would be as much centred on the impact off the pitch with community , marketing , sponsors & schools with a highly decorated ' Old Boy ' in the club .

A disappointing signing, if true (and it is only a rumour, remember). I thought with the new ownership in place, the club would have moved beyond the sentimental signings, and this would just be a sentimental signing. I don't think he is any better than what we've already got nowadays, and the only bum he's likely to put on a seat is his own on a treatment table.

I've never met Adrian Morley, but my wife has met him twice and she tells me that he is a lovely bloke. He would be a great ambassador for the club, in a similar way that Terry O'Connor is for Widnes and Barry McDermott is for Leeds. But as a player, his recent spells of injury are a clear indication that his career has gone beyond twilight. He's 36 next week (happy birthday Ade, if you're watching).

Not all top players are capable of passing on their knowledge and ethos to others. I'm not aware of him being involved in coaching in the amateur game so I would be doubtful of his ability and willingness to take on such a position. But if he was, SCR might concede fewer tries! And that might be a relief to us all!
