“From what I’ve seen, it is a good place to be at the moment,” he observed.
“My understanding is the boys did it real tough in the off-season. I didn’t realise how tough they did it, having no kit, no place to train, no gym. They only got the training kit last week and only got rugby balls a week before the season started.
“It has been real tough for them, so they were always going to be behind the eight-ball for the first few weeks. But the team are all behind the blokes they’ve brought in and I know they are trying to bring in a couple more. Everyone is pulling in the right direction and really enjoying it.”
