totally agree think he has come on leaps and bounds, and starting to become a useful utility player playing at loose, second row and centre!!

I think the standard has raised defensively. And lets face it, it had to as we were dreadful which is why we are not top 8 comfortably. Praise to the coaches for getting the message through and to the players for standing up and making the effort.

Against Warrington we completed our sets of 6 and defended well without giving away penalties. This meant we were in the Wire half lots - we attack with pace and always look like scoring tries - we won easy. The points we conceded late on were soft, but the game was won by then and we switched off a bit.

If we play like that, we will win at least 5 more games this year and may even cause an upset?

Players who this year have made a marked improvement on previous years.
It just shows what harm that useless to$$er McRae did to our club.

You can add Patten, Holdsworth, Williams, Jewitt, Broughton, Wild and and Sidlow to that list for me.

Those players who are playing as they did under McRae are no longer featuring regularly in the team.

Not intending to defend Mr McRae or take any credit away from PV and Longy but . . . It's fairly common that players generally improve during the last year of their contract. The extra motivation is there to get a new/ better deal with their existing club or attract interest from another team. No player wants to be left on the Superleague scrapheap or forced to accept a cut in wages.

The ideal scenario for a club would be to have at least 8 'eager to impress' players coming out of contract every year.
