Well, it's certainly bigger than the northern rail cup f inal or the champ play off, so apart from that I presume you are referring to 1969 cup final against(you guessed it) Cas!

I'd say the last day games where we needed to win to avoid relegation were more important, I personally would say the final game at the Willows is certainly up there.

It's not the biggest day , but it could certainly be a defining day if the club want to keep hold of the 8000 who will turn up today. A poor performance and loss could see the gate halved by the next home game

I have to feel for you guys.....You couldn't have asked for worse weather and if I'm being honest, it all looks a bit of a shambles on the telly (not the ground, but the whole 'new stadium' spectacle).....I think your 8000 looks optimistic, looking more like 4 or 5 thousand.

I've never been overly convinced by the location of your new ground, it definitely needs nice weather to attract a crowd, as it isn't exactly a 'walk-up' type of location, and the weather tonight has killed it atmosphere-wise.

Hopefully, come springtime it should improve for you, but for tonight it looks all a bit of an anti-climax.

add to that it costs £20 ouch. Nice stadium but nothing around it and its well away from your main population, without a succesful team I doubt it wil increase your gates that much in time once the novelty factor wears off..

As soon as they start winning games consistently I think this could be a success still
