Quote ="Lyrad Red"You could probably ask the same of a certain Michael McGuire. Im not saying I'll be booking my seat at old Trafford in 12 months however we can all agree that coaching previous clubs has sometimes no relevance at all as long as they have had a good apprenticeship. And Parrish isn't young he has had a gruelling learning curve over the last 10 years from what I've read.'"
Michael Maguire was on the coaching staff at Canberra Raiders before going to Melbourne. He had 6-7 years there as assistant. When he accepted the Wigan role he had his Head Coaches blessing. Matt Parish was an assistant for 3 years not 12 that has been previously stated.
I am a big fan of SL, used to watch a lot of games when I lived in Yorkshire in late 90's to mid 00's. I am Australian and follow the NRL
But facts are facts. Matt Parish was unemployed, he wasn't working as an NRL assistant. He was helping his food friend from school and Rugby Union Ricky Stuart with the SOO. Do some research.
Wishing him and Salford the best of luck
