Wigan won the game today 78 - 4.

It is disappointing but unfortunately a big scoreline (maybe not that big though

) is to be expected at u16s level. We just dont have the reservoir of players to choose from like Wigan do.

The U16 score was 24 - 20 to Wigan.

Was it, thanks. The same thing applies really though, we need to get many more people in the Salford area playing RL for our underage teams to match the likes of Wigan. The u16's is actually a good result for us and much closer than to be expected.

You were the better side, far more composed and enthusiastic in my view. Wigan though poorly kept gifting you easy territory which helped your lead 20-14 with 10 mins to go before Wigan got two late scores. Your goal kicker missed a couple of easy kicks which he'll be left to rue, I think those were the difference between win and loss. Hard to criticise at that age though. The match was a good advert for the new Under 16s comp.

Less said about the U18s game the better. Wigan scored 78 despite not scoring at all between 11 and 31 minutes.
