It's been a quiet week in the press for Marwan . obviously feels he needs grab some headlines ..

The more I think about this the more I think the Doc already knows this is going to happen.

Noticed when SKY earlier he was asked about an announcement this week and didn't begin to correct the interviewer.

Can't make my mind up who it would be, a big name from the NRL or maybe someone from RU. Wether that is someone like an Ashton, Tomkins or Eastmond or we are looking at someone with no RL background who Noble feels would make an impact.

on the Sky video he quotes the dispensation to allow him to bring in a player to surprise not just Salford but SL. therefore a ' Marquee ' player.
so either a bankable NRL player or most likely returning a league talent from RU .
Judging that he's not exactly on Barwicks xmas card list , unlikely , but in making public again he's raising the stakes , especially on the back of the Burgess to RU rumours ..

It may or may not be 'hot air' this season but I can acknowledge that Dr Koukash certainly has an eye for a 'hot topic' essentially taking an RU headline back and keeping his message on the agenda if nothing else.

He's certainly pushing his line and more credit to him, but if he got a rule change now for a player lined up, then other clubs would cry foul.

If they had known the rule was going to change then they could have outbid Salford for the very same player.

Also if it's Joel Tomkins I'd be a little underwhelmed, not really a very special player, true it would be a raid on union, but hardly a critical player.

Probably has more chance of getting an exception approved but with a delay for later in the year or next year.

If anyone listened to the RL Extra show on Radio Manc last night Ralph Rimmer all but confirmed that there will be some kind of cap exemption introduced - no timescales said though.

the doc doesn't seem to have been off the tv or radio , He drew the 2nd round of the challenge cup along with Kris radlinski. one of the ties was GB Police V British army . I Can see that tie going off with a BANG

If it's a non RL player, you should get him, year 1, off the cap.

If it's a current RL player...tough. Move someone on first.
