Do Salford Supporters Have The Most Songs ?
A question my 9 year old son asked the other day.

Yes I surpose we have a lot, better we have variety than just one

I would like a signature tune like "old faithfull" or "red red robin" I surpose "I see the salford reds arising" is the nearest we have but personally in barton i would like "dirty old town" to take off with the lyric

"Dream the dream by the old canal" and "smell the spring on the salford wind"

I would also like them to play the "craft" version over the tannoy much more rocky than the original verson.

No point having our own song, will just be ruined by people singing far too quickly then clapping

Followed by me getting irate and screaming, "FFS, slow down!" No, for the good health of the musically capable, perhaps we best avoid an unofficial anthem.

Drop the original 2nd verse sing it in 40 seconds jobbie is a good one

Won't happen tho we will sing it too slow cos everyone else sings it too quick and clap all the way through as a protest

Just as long as you don`t lumber us with that horrible cover I `ll be a happy bunny, for what its worth 619 Red favourite song is I Am Salfordian .

The lack of timing or timing nazis?

There have been some real belters over the years. Who can forget '**** off Myler, **** off Myler', although I always enjoyed its predecessor, '**** off Coley, **** off Coley.' And for the (slightly) older folks, who can forget the classic '**** off Homesick, **** off Homesick'?

I think the National Anthem should be "Take me home Willows Road" ala Huddersfield with their Fartown !
