I know that it's been mentioned previously but after looking around the Salford City Reds section of the museum yesterday I would like to say what an excellent job the people from the club have done in setting it up.

A lot of thought and effort has been put into the displays by club officials and other volunteers and judging by the comments made by some other people who were viewing it yesterday it has been very well received.

Reading your comments it's obviously not been done by anyone with any involvement in our clubs marketing, retail or web site department then. Maybe the club should find out who did it and employ them in some capacity!

It's similarly obvious that certain Scarlet Turkey contributors haven't been for a look around yet...

As I understand the situation some of the staff that you are alluding to may have had some involvement in the work along with some some supporters and sponsors as well.

I also understand that John Blackburn has been involved in the start up along with people from his department etc.

One exhibit has been restored by Bullen Conservation who are one of the clubs sponsors,you will have to go and see which it is.

Can we pay on entrance?

was free when i went a couple months back. I need to go again to see the salford section as it wasn't built then.

It was free admission on Monday as not all the other exhibits are complete,the entrance fee will be £6 adults £4 Concessions & Children when it is officially opened.

I am a new fan because of the museum - impressed!

JMe and my family came to the game on Sunday for our first ever game of rugby league - the kids absolutely loved it (as did i) and they even refused to leave until the players had come round so they could get some autographs! I thought it was brilliant just before kick off when that guy was getting all the applause (sorry, don't know who he was - i will have to learn all the names) and the opera singers and everything. The players were really friendly at the end too - don't get that at football.

We were invited to try a reds game while visiting the Museum of Museums at the Trafford Centre during the school holidays. we were blown away by the reds exhibit!

the guy at the museum took the time out to chat to us for ages and my lads loved racing about on the indoor pitch and learning about a sport they don't play at their school . When he said we could sign up to sample a free game as we hadn't been before I must admit I thought it was a bit of a con to get my details, but sure enough about three or four days later we got cards through the post for all three of us and a leaflet that said where the ground was and where to park and stuff which i thought was a nice touch. Phoned up and asked if my wife could come as well (didn;t sign her up on the day) and the guy on the phone signed her up there and then and we got her card the next day! Great service!

And then this morning I got an email with a survey about whether we enjoyed ourselves or not with a draw to win a Wii!

Gutted there are no more games until next year now loll. my lads have asked me to get them a rugby ball. salford seems like a great friendly club and it was nice to see a win for our first game! I wont post too much as I don't want to embarrass myself with my lack of knowledge but i look forward to reading and learning during the close season. Is there an official forum? I googled it but this was the only one I could find

It's nice to see Salford games being advertised that way and I'm glad you enjoyed yourselves. I've been going since I was 5 yrs old and the entire family has many ties with the club. The family aspect has always been something that they were proud of and it's really nice to see other's picking up on it even now.

I must make a trip to the museum, there's nothing but good things being said by a lot of folks now.

BTW we do have an official [url=http://www.reds.co.uk/website[/url but the best way to keep up-to-date IMO is to view this place every now and then because things seem to be on here before anywhere else

Museum is really great as the rest of our first experience with the club has been - cannot fault it. Think i was a bit gushing on the survey - hope they dont think i was just saying it to try and win the wii lol.
