didnt say myler had a bad game his quote he single handely cut wigan to pieces and all tomkins had to do was pick up loose balls and run to the line well the first try he got was class he scythed through the gap and accelerated to the line over 40 metres his comments a laughable

I would guess that Myler made as many breaks as Sam Tomkins on Friday- the difference is Tomkins had 3-4 players to give the ball to when he went through.

Myler time and time again was on his own and tried to force the pass when he had nothing on. Thats not a dig at Myler at all its not his fault if he's got no support.

Tomkins although a very good player and an outstanding prospect looked like a bloody world beater against our defence and having support on your shoulder makes every break turn into a try!

You must have been watching a different game because Myler was the only attacking spark we had last Friday. I wouldn't go as far as to say he ripped them to pieces all night but he was the only Salford player running with any pace, backing up play and side stepping his way through the Wigan defence.

I also wonder how Tompins would have looked if he has played in Salford's team and ...how Myler would have looked if he played in Wigan's team against our slack defence?

I agree with you Ian - Richie was the best player on either side IMO on Friday but Simms is a complete cock and I can't wait until we've seen the back of him....whenever that will be

Thought Myler had a good game and would play better behind a better pack but what Simms said about him and Tompkins just wondering if he was actually watching them 2 instead of watching how poorly his new signings were

myler did av a good game but i av to say that i hope simms has a holiday and dont return to the club because we need a change.he been there for a while and ok we won the national league with him but i think we would of won it with anyone.you dont av to agree with me on this but i think re signing rhino would be good

Two very talented young players, who should be given every encouragement. What Simms seems to miss was that Myler played at 7 and Sam Tomkins at 6.

Wouldn't it have been better for him to praise them both and say that we could have seen the future England / GB halfback partnership.

Someone earlier in the thread asked if Sam would look as good in a struggling Salford side. I'll tell you,the answer is a big YES. He's the most naturally gifted player I've seen since Shaun Edwards. I've watched him all through his academy days and he is a superb player with a great attitude.

Not for long mate, we have an amazing ability to knock the talent out of young players ... or ship them elsewhere.
