There always seems to be at least two teams with horrendously long injury lists at the beginning of the season. (Leeds and Saints most obviously last year)This season there appears to be more.

Are there any 'statos' out there who know whether this season is way above average after just a few games?

This is kind of weird.

For the first time in years I think Saints might have one of if not the fittest squad. Mind you, that could change! However, at the time of writing we only have two out injured at present and neither of those is serious.

I'm particularly sorry to hear about Watts being lost to Widnes for the season. I was very impressed by him in our friendly and I was looking forward to seeing him play. Widnes certainly need some creativity at halfback now that he has gone. I wonder if they will look to some loanees?

Aaron Heremaia is also out for Hull, but we aren't doing that badly...I remember in 2008 we struggled to put a team out some weeks.

Watts did exactly the same last season, its an injury that rules you out straight away for the entire season

. He looked threatening and dangerous, it leaves us now with Lloyd White and Rhys Hanbury which doesn't fill me with confidence if im honest.

Why could it not support the gut after another mammoth session at Nandos Sydney

I expect Saints' "Injury list" to increase ten-fold in the week leading up to Easter, only for them all to make the usual miraculous recoveries on Maundy Thursday.
