BS is overlooking the fact that they get TV money each and every SL year (and it's more than 700k). It is millions.

No - we're a summer club and there are no junior leagues currently playing during the summer.

They take part in festivals against clubs in the same position and also play friendly games against clubs from the North West Counties league. They've racked up some very impressive results against more established teams and we've got a few lads with Warrington Service Area.

Obviously, we hope the switch to summer happens ASAP.

Their first SL season was worse than I had thought but I don't remember too many people apologising for making "flatcapper" allegations.

But that aside, their second surprised me, I wasn't completely convinced that they would even finish the season. The near full house in their opening game actually had me convinced that they might just pull it off.

However, it has been one bad news story after another since the end of the season and I think that there has just been too much bad publicity. They might prove me wrong but I think that it will be another bumpy season and Crusaders will turn into Bronquins. Alive but only just.

Maybe I like whingeing about the RFL but you don't like reading my posts. So why do it?

Mainly because, imho, you are a pretty good and articulate poster. Usually. In order to prove dally wrong, you decided to trash the RFL and development by the saders, and then got all precious when called on it.


And the on bright side, Franchises are up at the end of the season and you will get to say how clever you were..

Umm no dally is ridiculous using this as a "See I was right". Whether this was or was not a good use of RFL money is still very much up-in-the-air. I'm pretty sure that they would not have made the same licencing decisions if they had had the benefit of hindsight.

As for the Crusaders I don't wish them any misfortune (as I don't with any rugby league club) and I expect that the RFL will renew their licence. I think they were wrong in 2008 but I cannot see how revoking their licence would improve matters.

It is what I said. The RFL has spent millions on Crusaders, one junior rugby league team isn't "proof it was money worth spending". Only a few good seasons from Crusaders will prove that.
