| Senior has been a standout player for GB over the past few years, largely because he's about the only threequarter we've had with the physical attributes to match it with Oz/NZ - strength and speed. OTOH from the games I've seen he has no idea how to read quality attacking play and I'd argue that his service to the wing hasn't been that good either for GB. Had he gone to the NRL in his mid-20s he might have been a whole different level on both of those scores.
In terms of pure ability Newlove was a better player than Senior, and Connolly a far better defensive centre (although offering zero in attack). However, Senior's record for GB is better than either of those two.
Lets face it, aprt from a few players in the late 80s-early 90s, GB has basically produced very very few players who nobody would doubt as being 'world class'. Definites in that category IMO would be Hanley, Schofield, Offiah, Robinson. You could possibly add a few others like Kev Ward, Andy Gregory, Mike Gregory, Davies etc and more recently Morley - but the list is depressingly short.

I think - but stand to be corrected !! - that in his 36 caps, Edwards has something like a 66% win ratio against Australia and NZ.

If it went down to heart, passion, dedicaton and effort there wouldnt be many in world rugby that could top Rads.
Cunningham on the other hand, although a good un, has the heart of a pea when the going gets tough i.e against the aussies, got done for drugs and miraculously put about 3 stone on between 1994 and 1996 hmmmmmm (absolutely impossible)
not that I am getting at anything

I'd love to see those stats!
If true I bet Daryl Powell has a similar record, and he was hardly Brett Kenny!

| Edwards played in an era where the Kiwis were a distant 3rd at Test level.
When he played the stats are
7 wins from 10 against the Kiwis
3 wins from 8 against Oz.

| On KC-Rads. Even though they play different positions and can't really compare them in terms of skill set. However in terms of performance KC's performances pi55 all over Radlinski's. KC when he played proved to one of GB's most creative players, although his inability to pass accuratly yo his right later in his career has hindered him. As for Radlinski, he was one of the biggest international failures in the last 20-30 years.

| Re KC australiasian coaches and players when talking of KC have the deepest respect for him.
That to me says they regard him as a top quality playr.
His fellow professionals also speak likewise.
On the centres front , my personal belief is that from what ive seen the best British centres have been
1. Schofield
2. Newlove
3. Senior
4 Connolly
People are knocking senior now for his performances when his is a veteran player, however at his peak he caused the aussies and kiwis lots of problems.

'"
my observations;
Schofield could read the game brilliantly and in attack was always a real threat. Should never have coached as what was natural to him was hard work for others so couldn't inspire.
Newlove was a natural but was completely unbothered by "big games", he'd have been just as happy to play on a park with his mates. This meant he didn't get big match nerves to cramp his performance but also meant it was no big deal if he didn't play.
Senior couldn't, and still can't to some extent, figure out how the game is played but with the ball is very destructive and can tackle hard.
Connolly was the defensive version of Schofield. Classy.

| Thats a bit strange that I mention a horse and straight away you start thinking of having sex with it.
Are you from Yorkshire?
I'm just asking a simple question. Can anyone imagine keiron Cunningham riding a horse?
I mean, a Rugby League player is heavy, but they could ride a horse. Cunningham....I think he'd kill a horse.
Then eat it.

I dont know about that. He's have to eat hot pot 24/7 to be as morbidly obese as he is.
And I know thats not the case, because he eats egg custard 24/7.
