It would seem there are certain factions within the game that haven’t taken the Hull FC investment news so well. It does seem to be ruffling a few feathers that as a club Hull will now be back in the small pool of any available quality players for signings.
Think a few clubs whilst not revelling in our demise per se, were probably happy to see one less club in the signing trough so to speak.

We as a club are just as entitled as any club to make signings.

Beaumont is sadly showing his old self with his reaction the the signing of Asiata as it wasn’t that long ago his or bust SL attempt ended badly Leigh and the players they’d signed. So I’ll take his outburst with a pinch of salt.
His comments re Asiata and his injury record for me are a low blow from a guy that says he respects Asiatas decision.

I think DBs comments re Asiata were unnecessary to air but I still like his enthusiasm for his team. He contributes to keeping/getting RL noticed. We need characters like soccer have Klopp, Gladioli etc. Like him or not we need folk like John Wilkin who care for the game. Look at snooker you could argue it’s a dull game but the controversial characters eg O’Sullivan and the great commentators just enhance/lift the game. Boy RL could do with Barry Hearn

Re the Coach I’m not sure that we’ve looked at a number of the names that have been in media such as McDermott & Briers etc. I’m probably wrong but not sure we’ve heard the last of Rowley.

Whoever comes in has a real job on their hands and think due to the size of the club the media outlets will link us to just about anyone.

Why is that so bad? People talking about bringing Briers in happily who's never been a head coach yet we've got someone here who knows the players and could be the next best thing but if he's not given a chance then how will we ever find out? He's now got a DOR above him sorting contracts and players issues and if given a decent backroom and coaching and conditioning team I believe he could be a success.
