| Quote ="Robbo"The officiating was a joke tonight but it wasn't as one sided as you want to make out. Quite funny reading though. Charnleys try shouldn't have been given imo, But that was evened up with the other one that imo should have been.
Hull KR did nothing but slow the ptb down and mess about in the ruck all night so they can't complain about the penalty count or the team warning. Withers was rightfully sin binned. I don't know if you saw the Wigan Saints game but Blake Green was binned for being "offside" long after a team warning and if i remember correctly he wasn't even the offending player.
I'm surprised it didn't completely kick off because Silverwood just didn't take control at all. Hull KR had a clear game plan to rough things up and slow Wigan down and they nearly pulled it off.'"
And Macalorums spear tackle went unpunished....
Officials are scared of Wigan. You lot cry for a penalty whenever anyone even touches Sam Tomkins. That said, scoring a Try whilst unconconscious takes some beating from last season (?)

The only times in that game that hull kr had a kickable penalty was when they were a try or more down on the scoreboard.
Away at wigan, more than 2 points down, you take the tap and go for the try.
To suggest they should be going for the 2 shows a lack of understanding of the modern game.

Bradford in 2011 iirc, after Raynor smashed him in the head?
Don't actually remember the spear tackle, Not that I'm saying it didn't happen, Just didn't see it.
Like I say, Hull KR tried their best to slow Wigan down. Eventually Wigan got involved in the arm wrestle and the result was nothing but slow niggly rucks and play the balls and a ref who seemed more than happy to let it happen until he eventually started to penalise.
The ref's are becoming a talking point of games more than the players themselves these days and it is getting ridiculous. Every game almost there is one team feeling aggrieved about decisions. I like the way the NRL games are reffed with 1 ref on either side looking at different areas of play. But we don't have enough good enough refs over here to pull it off. But the players attitudes are different too. If something isn't given they generally speaking get on with it where as here players just moan like school kids.

Yep, think that's the one. Time flys....
Anyway. As I've stated. All officials were bad tonight and Wigan just edged it in the decision stakes although I know some decisions for you were equally bad.
Stange how the refs have got worse since Ganson's started coaching them....

| Exhibit D. Hansen was blatantly obstructed thus allowing Dobson a clear run for his try.
Oh sorry, is this just a thread for the calls that went Wigan's way?

So, after stating....
O'Laughlin's spear tackle going unpunished
The in touch try by Charnley that shouldn't have been given
The no try by Charnley that probably should have been given
The two forward passes from Rovers that weren't
The forward pass leading to a Wigan try that was missed
The sin bin of Withers for either a dangerous tackle (see O'Laughlin's spear tackle above) or team warning from a century ago
You come up with this?
Weak.

Just because those 2 clowns Eddie and Stevo say it wasn't forward, doesn't make it so.
It was a forward pass !
That's why they have lines on the field, to help in making decisions.
None of this momentum rule rubbish applys, as he was almost on the floor and grounded anyway.
The Charnley try I thought was debatable, as it could well have been into touch in goal.

| The team warning is the biggest bs rule change I've seen. Sin binning a player is a game changer in the modern game and should only be used for bad offences like spear tackles, constant penalties by same player or a prof foul that stops a try being scored. Seeing a game decided by a laying on or simple offside is just shocking.

| Great win by a very young Wigan side. Hull KR have always provided a very tough test.
Charnley first try was not as we all know, hopefully will see the end to child indefo.
Second was a try, i was looking at Edens arms and thought knock on until i noticed Farrell touching down on the replay.
Dobson try was obstruction clearly but no comment from anyone..lol
Overall a scrappy game, two teams not up to scratch..

| The forward pass was, to anyone but the blind, a blatant forward pass, the Sky blather about "momentum" was ridiculous.
The try was rightly awarded. The only available freeze frame was AFTER the ball had touched down. At this point, as seen from behind the try line, it was touching the sideline with one side, but the centre of the ball was 100% definitely not in touch.
A ball is round. As it is grounded, the centre section touches first. That section MUST have touched the ground first, within the field of play, before the ball was compressed into the ground, so that the left side (as viewed) came to touch the line.
If the ball is in the field of play, i.e. the centre line of the ball is not in touch, then the shape of the ball and the fact that that part of the ball is nearer the ground than the rest of the ball means it is fact of physics that the part of the ball that touched the ground first was in play.

| It was quite pathetic listening to Stevo cry about the forward passes and then having to listen to Cummings go on about the momentum rule. Riddle me this... How the hell can a ball have forward momentum when the person who passes the ball is on the floor not moving?... you can clearly see from the replay that the ball is caught forward from where the ball is passed.
The likes of Stevo only make situations like this worse because for some reason his "opinion" is seen as gospel when we all know he doesn't have a clue.

Shame then that the angle of the ball was such that the edge nearest the dead all line was lowest. I mean you had actually taken time to draw/find a diagram on the other thread showing your flawed logic which in itself is a little worrying for us and upsetting for you.

Exhibit B: A disgraceful video ref decision gifts charnley a try. The ball touches the in goal line as well as the try line yet it unbelievably given as a try.
Exhibit C: An incorrect forward pass call against Dobson gifts wigan the position to score the decisive try.
Don't get me wrong. This isn't wigans fault, they are simply taking advantage of the opportunities they are being wrongfully given. The issue is the incompetence of the refs, and by pure luck wigan seem to be on the right side of it, over and over and over again.
The refs are incompetent. Something must be done. Even with the time to make a decision they are still screwing it up.'"
I have to say I thought the decision on the try was fine.
Also thought one forward passes was ok decision too.
It was only Henmings hysteria that put it in question.
