Didn't the RFL say they weren't giving the Crusaders any financial help when they were in trouble and that they were just advising them, then last week we here the RFL are owed £700,000 by Crusaders.

They must be expensive advisors or did I just imagine the whole debacle.

At least the last 4 pages of this thread consist of argument about how the RL chose who was given a place in SL and why, and no-one actually knows the truth for certain. Clearly then there is a lack of transparency about which the majority are unhappy and which was always going to be the case once factors off the pitch became more important than a team's performance on it.

Given the RFL spokesman's performance on the now infamous granada television interview where Gordon Burns merely asked him to justify the inclusion of Crusaders, and he couldn't, its no wonder people are complaining about lack of transparency. There's only so much weaseling you can do before reasonable people write you off as a weasel.
