| saints away looks quite smart this year, not overly sure on the giants away kit with the head picture emblem on it, don't have fond memories of them types of kits form the Hull sharks days.

It will be. The Hull FC homeshirt that fans can buy has the button up collar, like that, but the ones that the players will be wearing have a different collar. (There's some photos of O'Meley in it).

| Saints away is smart, like their home too. Crusaders home is good, not to keen on the away though. Harlequins home, Castlefords and Huddersfields away efforts aren't great though. Other than Hulls shirts I'd go with Saints as best home and Leeds as best away.

How's it a rip off? The quality of the material and manufacture is top notch, so the whole thing is going to be more expensive as a result. You don't have to buy it, you can get the supporters shirt for a lot cheaper, so it's hardly a rip off.

| How is it a rip off??!!
£80 for a rugby jersey???!
I would expect it to be woven from dodo's feathers and trimmed with mermaid scales for that price
They knock replica shirts up in China or wherever for next to nothing. On field jerseys, whatever material they are made of would cost hardly any more.
It's definately a rip off.

| I got a wire one the other year for £70, if you put a bit of weight on even the XL dont fit! Mines L and is a bit of a squeeze but they really are top top notch shirts.
Well worth the money if thats your thing and they look a hundred times better too, the colours and everything

Not just a typical rugby jersey though, is it? It's a player quality shirt. And if you expect a cheap knocked up shirt from China to be a similar quality you'll be sadly disappointed. Cheap gear isn't good, and good gear isn't cheap.
It's not just the material that is better, it's the manufacture. It's meant to take the strain of a rugby match, unlike the other ones. I doubt a dodo-feathered mermaid-scaled shirt would do that.
Face it, if the other usual quality shirt is valued at £43, and this one is twice as good quality, then they are going to charge around twice as much. That's how businesses make money!

Thats just the point
'cheap' gear from china isn't CHEAP for the likes of you and I to buy
How much do you think the 'player issue shirts' cost to make?
£10? £20? at the most?? I would bet its a lot less.
Then they knock them out to you for £80?
And thats not a rip off??
And seeing as the likes of you and I aren't planning to scrum down against St Helens in the forseeable future why bother buying one?

What... £40 better??
You could buy 2 replica shirts instead!
£40 might not be a massive amount of money but I can think of plenty of things I could spend it on instead.
Anyway if I wanted an onfield jersey I would just pop round Shreks house and ask him nicely

Yes but for that price you could buy a replica AND still have money for a night out in Cleethorpes
