New Warrington charity shirt for motor neurone disease:

The most hideous kit I have ever seen.

The home kit is the official colours of the Motor Neurone Disease Association it's representing, as you may or may not know it is the disease that killed former Warrington player and coach Paul Darbyshire, i thought it was a bit garish at first but i realised i could put it to better use as my new cycling top, support the club and give to a well deserving charity.

It's not a fashion statement it's about raising awareness and money for one of the most awful diseases there is. They won't raise much awareness having a blue&yellow kit. Unfortunately Motor Neurone disease doesn't get the publicity or probable funds (although i'm no expert) that it should

It's an awful disease and i applaud the Warrington club for raising awareness of it.

Is everyone releasing a charity shirt this year? I thought they were doing a charity round?

I'm aware of the disease and have gave generously to it in the past on hearing Mike Gregory's struggle with the awful disease, it's great that their raising awareness but is it true only £5 of the total shirt sales are going to the charity that's a bit slow if you ask me.

It's one of the most tragic diseases you could ever have someone suffer from and I wish Warrington the absolute best in raising as much money as possible for the cause.

Is there any point in releasing a charity shirt? Do they raise a significant amout of money for charity?

You'd assume yes, otherwise they wouldn't bloody bother!

I think it's great so many clubs get involved with local charities in this way. Can only be a positive for all parties really.

600 replicas for sale with £10 each going to the charity plus I'd presume they'll auction off the playing shirts, not bad really.

Not only money but it's also raising awareness for a great cause. The fact we are talking about it means part of the job of the shirt has been done without anyone even buying one!

Wigans charity top is for a good cause same as Wires one but they are not great to look at personally id rather give the money straight to joining jack

All the cricket fans in the CEO's little black book had already spent their money on cricket...at which stage, he blamed the teams performance for having no shirt sponsor...........the club is being run by idiots is the answer.

This is far more important to charities than a few grand.

The Wigan one is pretty crap. I realise it is based on Jack's t-shirt but as a Rugby League shirt it's terrible. A much better design, imo, would have been a more plain shirt with a chevron made out of a big version of the JJ, one J red, the other black.
