As much as I like to stick the boot into Beaumont it'll be a shame if the squad is dismantled due to IMG uncertainty.

I mean we've signed two Leigh players but that doesn't mean Lam is on his way.

Got to say credit to Myler for the signing of Asiata, not only is he a fantastic player but perhaps more importantly is a proven leader and what we have been crying out for since Ellis.

Also the more I see and hear from Grix the more he impresses, I’m not saying he should be given the role full time but he has certainly stood up to the plate.
Whilst attacking wise we are still pretty poor (not helped by poor recruitment & no quality/experience in the halves) the improvement in the discipline has been significant. We still aren’t going to win many but already we can see clear signs and evidence of improvement in how and the structure we are playing.

We still have a huge amount of work to do but the performances under Grix are night & day from the Smith tenure.

Although the score line is what it is we do look a much more organised outfit but just don’t have the quality in the right areas to worry any opposition. Had this game been a few weeks ago we’d have been down by 30 before halftime.

I aren’t ruling any of the names out associated with the HC role, I wouldn’t even completely rule out Rowley yet either based on the way they’ve operated in terms of deals even after getting players to sign long contracts etc.
In regards to Lam I’m not sure if he’d be the right guy personally.

Think the signing of Asiata shows that there is indeed intent for next season.

Lam does have Leigh playing a good style of rugby though . I don't think he'd do a bad job here .

Think the Lam rumour could be agent talk. He's out of contract this year and been linked with Souths now us. I'd expect him to stick with Leigh

I'm not convinced by lam. He has a good squad at leigh and did well last season but they led a charmed life with injuries. He wasn't very good at wigan with a much better squad than we have

Cheaper, fitter, bigger and better. No brainer

Brown works hard and has a good offload but he's just not big enough so gets dominated in attack and defence plus gives away too many penalties. He will be better under a better coach but will only ever be a squad player in a top half sl side imo
