| I think we only played them once, but one game I remember was Southend away. A couple of hours on the sea front and then off to the game after a couple of bevvies. As I recall we won the game to round off a good one-off experience. Fulham away was also one to look forward to.

| Another game I really enjoyed was played Barrow away in the CC, we were scoring at will on a lovely sunny day, every time we scored Tony Martin lined up for the restart next to us, I joked with him that I had a fiver on him to score, believing it he tried his upmost to score and after the game came over to apologise, didn’t have the heart to tell him I was winding him up . A lovely little ground just a decent travel.

The build up to the million pound game against Bradford was the worst feeling leading up to a game. Any game with jordan playing is a stomach churning even though.

| A very memorable game for me was back in the early eighties. My mate had free use of the firm's van on a weekend including a full tank of fuel, therefore travel to the match at Workington that Sunday was not going to cost us anything for a start. My mate took two aquaintances on board for a small fee. We stopped at a pub in Penrith on the way and had some snap and a couple of pints. After a game of fives and threes at which I won enough money to pay for my food and ale we then carried on to Derwent Park. On arrival at the ground our two passengers went their own way, and me and my mate were approached by two blokes as we parked up the car. They asked if we would like to accept two complimentary main stand tickets for the game on behalf of the West Cumberland ARLFC. Of course we accepted. So, that day I enjoyed a lovely 300mile round trip through "The Lakes"; free food and drink and free entrance to the match (which we won, by the way). A very enjoyable day indeed.

I agree with you, awful build up and even worse during the game, didn’t have a pint all game which is a no, no from me.

| Always used to dread going to Odsal for some reason, even when Bradford weren't that good they still seemed to embarrass us! Strangely enough, if some one asked me for a list of my favourite games then Bradford away in 2006 the week before the MPG would definitely be on there, Friday night and the odds were massively against us but for some reason I just knew that we was going to come away with the win.
I would say my favourite fixture is Cas home or away, there is just a little bit of extra emotion in it, although I do hope we can pick up a win sometime soon!

I was never a fan of Odsal. Too big. Too cold. Too far from the action. I remember the game where Richard Agar seemed to be really meddling with line-ups and it just seemed a really frustrating time, and I hated Odsal that day. I think it was the game where Steve Southern was injured and played on one leg for a few tackles. Possibly his last game.
As for the 2006 game, I never really felt nervous in that last couple of weeks. It just felt like Cas were fading and looking really tired, and we were on the upward.
As an aside, it struck me recently that there will be adults watching Wakey who have been fans all their life and have zero collection of 2006, if you assume that most sporting recollections won't go back further than being five or six. That made me feel old. There'll be adults watching Wakey who saw the MPG as a blip rather than "here we go again".

Nice ground but end of nowhere. Been working up there and if the A590 ever gets closed it's a fricking nightmare. Had several journeys take 6 hours instead of 3.

| Going back a few years I would say Craven Park was one of the worst grounds to visit imo, only visited twice before they built the new stand but the stand was that far away from the pitch you could hardly see a thing! Much improved now.

The Grimsby end is still there, although the new stand at the top end of the pitch is excellent.
If/when, they do something at the other end, it will be an excellent ground. Mind you, there is always the chance of a brick or two being chucked at the supporters busses.
I dont use them often but, it happens every time we go over there.
It's a shame as RL fans in Hull (both sides) are passionate and knowledgeable in equal measure.

I have always said that the worst set of fans that I have come across have been from both Hull clubs, funnily enough my Father always said the same thing.
Obviously speaking from my own personal experience and every club has there idiots, they just seem to have more.

| That's funny because I would say the Hull fans are the best in my experience.
It's ironic as I was at the boulevard when someone climbed up tge stand to burn a Trinity scarf and also at the Semi at McAlpine when they knocked down the posts but I always enjoy going to both grounds and talking to fans.
They know their rugby and are passionate without the arrogance of Leeds or Wigan fans.

Don't forget we were also relying on Salford to beat Cas that night! Fortunately, Salford were aiming to cement their play off position, so they had plenty to play for. I remember everyone standing on the terraces at the end, waiting for the Salford Vs Cas result to come up on the big screen, and it was like a double celebration when it finally said 26-16 FULL TIME.
Have to say, once we'd beaten Bradford that night, I knew we'd walk the last game against Cas.
I would also list that game in my favourite games. One of my old uni mates had come up from down south to watch it that night, so it was a triple celebration round Wakey afterwards!

What a weird ground that was! The toilets always seemed to be flooded, and the slope was ridiculous! I seem to have happy game memories though, I remember Michael Jackson scoring one of his trademark beauties, and Big Fritzy trampling all over them in one game.

I have bittersweet memories of Hull too. I've had some great banter with fans in pubs before the game, then sometimes at the Boulevard I've never felt so uncomfortable and scared at a rugby ground. On the pitch, we always seemed to get hammered at the Boulevard, apart from once when I remember James Mosley scoring a length of the field effort? Good games at the KC generally, especially the play-off win in 2004, that run from Korki..........

Not so sure about that PT recently....
They seem to love a good carve up amongst themselves!!
During the 72-10 at Belle Vue and also at Anfield Magic Weekend in the Kop when they got thrashed by Shudds........

There were a group of FC fans that got threw out of our ground last season as well at full time for fighting amongst themselves, and they had just beat us
There was some awful trouble outside of the KCOM in 2017 when they beat us by 1 point in the final game of the season before the super 8`s.
As I say, speaking from personal experience in the past, all clubs have there idiots but for the most part I find most true RL fans are genuine people, even Cas fans

| My experience with the Hull fans (FC and KR) isn't great.
The two occasions for me that stand out was the year when KR were promoted back in SL, we were playing FC away and a load of KR fans had formed a mini crowd to the side of us. It caused uproar with the FC fans and after FC snatching the win, I left the ground to see a massive brawl... It must have been 12 on 12!!
The second occasion was actually back in 2012, round 17 we came back from 30-10 at half time to beat them 32-30 keeping them scoreless in the second half. Whilst having a good laugh with the fans in the Northstand clapping the lads off and a FC fan shouted at us all "don't mock me" whilst crying and wiping the snot from his nose, next thing you know him and one other FC fan were swinging punches at a crowd of about 30 Trinity fans, one of them landing me clean on the chin (not that it hurt or owt lol). Glad to confirm the stewards made light work of them!

| Always thought that Hull FC fans tended to be more humourous than malicious. and generally quite generous in there criticism. I tended to find that usually the women were more foul-mouthed than the blokes though.
i recall back in the old Boulevard days we dared enter a packed pub on the Hessle Road. Having got inside and noticing that we were the only Trinity fans there we got a little apprehensive. We were immediately asked what we were drinking and had a real good hour or so with them
