I did, took me back right to my childhood. All we needed was the Golden Condor flying across the screen and all would have been forgiven for them stuffing up the anthem.

IMHO the shambles with the National Anthem and then the debarcle with the minutes applaus just shows that RL in France is run by a bunch of amateurs who don't know what they are doing.

RL in France *is* (in the nicest possible way) run by a bunch of amateurs. Lot of volunteers put in time to push tickets & put on a great evening's entertainment last night. It's not an RL ground, they don't usually have to worry about the demands of TV and the crowd & band were sufficiently loud that it was hard to hear yourself.

It was kind of funny to watch the Sky guys shouting at them to hurry up because it was time for kick-off when they were trying to get the CD working. And they did manage to get it going for the end of the match

I think they were impressed that the England team just laughed it off rather than taking offence.

Lot of positives for French RL from last night - on and off the field. Not a mention of the game in L'equipe this morning, though. Not even the score.

Agreed. He seemed to have a right bee in his bonnet about a number of things last night. Was an opportunity for Stevo to turn the tables and give him some stick cos Eddie usually can't wait to give Stevo some if he's being a bit grumpy!

Exactly, not a thing is ever said about that, but there is a lot of hard work put it by an organization that doesn't get any mention or attention from anyone normally, fair play to them for getting what looked like a reasonable crowd down too.

The whole setup there was a shambles to be honest-everyone had free tickets, they couldnt find the reservation details of those of us who had bought tickets so we were put all over the place, ended up sat next to McNamara and co! People were just scrambling for seats everywhere! Not one steward in the main stand so people just sat in the aisles and stood up all over the place-all very bizarre! They also ran out of beer before half time!

I was sat watching with my girlfriend and it was cringe worthy, at least we didnt have to cringe even more when the camera mate its way to Rangi Chase, would he have sung along?

I wonder if the French did it on purpose, to save the blushes of those English players who wouldn't have known the words?
