Some of the Leigh fans are absolutely sound and all clubs have their idiots. But I genuinely think that a disproportionately large number of Leigh fans are really weird.

Perhaps Huddersfield fans are so bothered by his actions because one of our players recently DIED due to a head injury sustained accidentally.
As a club we perhaps are particularly sensitive to potential head injuries as a result.
Perhaps bird was feigning, perhaps not- fact is when Acton picked him up he had no way of knowing whether he had a concussion injury.
No player should touch another on the floor. I remember quite some years ago a player Getting blasted on the field by medics for putting another in the recovery position.

I'm glad the RFL did the right thing and increase the ban for this heinous act. Leigh are going down anyway so it's not like he would have kept them up

To be fair the media backlash effectively finished his career. He's a timid player now and not worth his shirt.

As for the Acton incident - stupid, but the arbitrary 4 month ban by the RFL is why we need a new governing body. They simply make it up as they go along.
