| Quote ="gutterfax"Exactly like that! Well spotted.
LMS has been signed by a top 2 team.....that's a step up. Sharp has joined another team that have performed far better than Quins in recent years...this is also a step up. It is also proof that the conveyerbelt of yoof in London isn't an immaginary pipe dream, but a fact.
We will field more locally developed talent than ANY SL team in 2011.....and we are sticking to the rules on overseas players....we LOST overseas players over the last couple of seasons to injury/retirement etc....we have room on our Quota.....and yet we are still promoting from within.....developing our own talent and complementing it with the CORRECT/PERMITTED number of overseas players.....
Hull Kingston Australians are building for a different future....the future financial stability of has been/never was NRL players.
Again...well spotted. LMS who is 24 yrs of age and going to a top 2 team is being replaced by a 26yr old player from the 2nd best team in the NRL....just like 20yr old HULL born lad being jetisoned to The lower leagues make way for a 30yr old player, past his best, from a bottom half of the table NRL outfit....the similarities are amazing.
As for Bailey.......he again is a like for like replacement for an outgoing London Academy prospect off to a bigger SL club.....and he also fits into our quota allowance.........the one HKR are ignoring'"
Rovers aren't ignoring it, they will have 5 quota players. The maximum allowed

| Gutterfax, you're fighting a losing battle: No-one cares about Quins, you have no fans, 99.9% of people in London couldn't care less about Quins RL, it hasn't worked in 30 years and it never will.
Hull KR on the other hand have made steady progress ever since our debut season in SL, we have attendances and merchandise/pass sales that Quins RL can only dream of. So, it really leaves only one emoticon...

| That flushed a few of you out....but I am wondering if it was worth the effort
For the record, Hull Kingston Rovers will have more foreigners than any other SL team in 2011......how you bend the rules or get past them is neither here nor there.
Financial issues...... Keep the stones in your pockets when in the glass house lads.......
Roofs........I suspect that you are second only to me with regard to our pre-occupation with attendance figures for London home games.......except I can understand mine...your just a nutter

Where was he trained? Where was he born? Which academy system found him.......Aussies playing for the lesser RL nations is nothing new, but the RFL should lay down the law now.....from 2012.....regardless of caps for any country or if some crims granny once spilt a pint of Guinness, each club is allowed 5 non European BORN/Trained (5 years in underage/academy level) players.....otherwise, HK Globetrotters will continue to bend the rules and we may as well change the name of the game to English Northern Rugby League Union and stop bothering to get hammered by Australia every year.

You mention players ' originality ' , well the Crusaders were quite happy to claim Anthony Blackwood and Niel Budworth as ' Welsh ' despite both being from W1gan and one of them the product of Leigh Centurions Academy
It is all right them bringing in rules and regs , as long as they apply to all clubs equally and evenly , but they dont , the RFL are the organisation that advised the Celtic Crusaders on the Visa requirements for the players they signed , simple as

| Restriction of Trade.....maybe.
The RFL do have one weapon that they can use though to persuade clubs to play the game the way they want with the correct number of overseas players they want......it's called Licencing.
If they Kick out HKA ....they don't have to give a reason....it's their comp...they can do as they like.....People could assume that it was because of overseas players.....but it would be impossible to prove......but I bet you the 14 left standing would get the message.

Make what up?
New Quota rules for a club in its 128th year struggling to find 25 local lads to play for them? Feeling the need to pay 10 overseas players a wage in the pursuit of your better and bigger neighbours? Thinking that slapping a coat of paint on the turd that is Caravan Park makes it a state of the art stadium?
If you're looking for irony....I suggest you look at some of the posts from HKR fans regarding their herritage, history, RL running through their veins and other b0llox....and ask yourself why your club can't find 25 players from the 45,000,000 travelling fans you have...now that really is irony
There's even one HKA poster who won't visit Harlequins RL on principle.....but bending the rules as HKA are...that's OK

The only club with no debts in Superleague (including overdrafts)
Playing in a Rugby only stadium that is voted one of the best to visit by fans from other clubs
A matchday experience that is only let down by the lack of people there.
An award winning community programme
Academy teams and under age teams developing nicely with cockneys now being signed by big clubs like St Helens and Hull FC
The most English Squad in SL........
....YEP, we do lack fans, of that there is no doubt,............. but a club playing out of a turd of a ground, with a team packed full of overseas talent, minimal youth/academy activity and a chairman who is getting twitchy about his level of investment for no return could maybe learn a couple of things....like geting fans to behave themselves, staying off the pitch, learning to count (you have the 5th largest away following in SL as far as London are concerned after Leeds, Saints, Wigan and Bradford)...etc.
Harlequins Rugby League came into existance in 2006........a year later HKR joined SL..........one club play in a RL heartland, the other in the South East....which one should have more local talent in its squad?

| I've said all along that I would prefer to have more Hull grown lads in the squad and see an England side with 4 or 5 HKR players in it (makes it much more interesting to follow them). However if we win SL next year then, like Wigan fans this year, I really am not going to care too much what passports those players lifting the trophy have or if we haven't adhered to the "spririt of the rule" whatever the hell that means! I'd take HKR winning a trophy over watching England be competitvie in 3 games a year any day of the week.
ps I've also said all along that the amount of overseas players in SL is NOT the reason England can't compete with NRL produced players. It is about money, amount of jnrs playing the game, coaching standards, back room staff standards and national culture/mentality.

| In my opinion it's down to RL being the biggest sport in Aus and therefore able to attract the most talented youth.
We're competing with football which (for reasons I can't fathom) is vastly more popular.
