Interesting news about Clarke. I think it's clear he's not done well when it has come to recruitment and retention during his time as CEO. But on the commercial side he seems to have really known his stuff and kept us not only going but thriving in many aspects. The club is definitely making it sound like it's his choice but you have to wonder how true that is. He's had part of his role taken away from him with the appointment of Myler so it would be understandable if he felt somewhat annoyed by that and maybe questioning his role at the club. So it could definitely be his decision.

On the other hand though, is it a sign of the restructuring occuring due to the investment? I see that Pearson has said that he will be taking on the CEO role for the foreseeable future. Could our new investor be planning to appoint his own CEO or take the role themselves once it's all signed on the dotted line? Has Pearson sold off his majority of the club to make way for a new owner and will be stepping down into the CEO position permananently maybe?

Interesting news as I say. Interesting times overall. You never know what news is going to come out of the club next.

Well if everything goes to form we'll be looking forward to welcoming Sir Kevin as the new CEO!

The way I read it, pearson is giving the investor a chunk of his shares in return for investment (loan presumably)into the club. No direct payment to pearson but I guess some will possibly come back to him through continued repayment of his loans to the club.

clarke going will pay a chunk of myler's salary if not all of it

The most positive announcement was the return of Gaz Ellis and shows to me the club are working in the right direction for a change
His arrival has given the coach job to Grix for at least this season.
Still feel the new coach will eventually come from Australia but for me the four or five overseas players that should be coming in if we offload Sao,Tuimavave,and Okunbor is more important to the clubs future than than making a rash decision on a coach.
Get the right players including at least one big name to wet the fans appetite and we can be back in the top four/six next season thats why its important Myler spends some some time in Australia to sell the club to agents and potential players

I think Clarke going is a clear sign that the investor/investment is all but done.

I did see a post that someone put on another site saying they'd seen something saying Sinfield wants to get back into RL . The thing with Sinfield recently is he never hangs around for too long in a job .

People often surround themselves with people they know and trust.
I did wonder if people like McGuire and Sinfield would be involved considering where the investment is coming from.

Sorry if I've missed this but Total RL now have Dane Dorahy stating he's interested in the job of head coach.
Other than he assisted at Cas last season and is currently assisting at Manly, I know nothing of his coaching credentials.

In the 'after shock' from the James Clark departure rather like no doubt many on here I heard from one or two who are really in the know several who think they are in the know and even more who are already down the Rabbit hole with Alice!! I think listening to all that and reading between the lines myself Adam talking about taking over as Chief Executive and appointing a none executive Chairman is code for he might find himself with investors that deem him a sort of junior partner and the changes he indicated probably identify that if a big money man comes in he will be obviously be made the Club Chairman whilst Adam in effect runs trhe club.

Really hope we're seeing the death roll of Adam Pearson and his tenure at FC. We've all heard the stories of poor investment, lack of interest, letting all the staff go, hopeless training facilities, no backroom staff, big salary to himself and we've seen how bad the team has become. Now we're hit with the latest revelations of James Clark doing god knows how many jobs as Pearson let's staff leave without replacing them in yet more penny pinching and tbh I feel really sorry for James Clark as he's yet another fall guy in Persons absolutely useless attempt at running a sporting club.
I just pray this this new investment is the beginning of the end of Pearson and we finally get rugby men running this club who can hopefully and finally release it's full potential

The change of name a Company House which went under all FC fans radar is the writing on the wall for Pearson. There are strange rumblings at Leeds and new and expansion of their infrastructure and ventures must be slightly worrying for the long term security of Hull FC. The nepotism to appoint Myler an inside man and Pearson’s demotion is all for the good of Leeds and not Hull FC.
