The team will probably include half the Wigan team, a couple of pity picks from Warrington Saints and Hull and Kevin Sinfield.

Cahill over Ellis? Behave.

Honourable mentions for Dorn/Hanbury at full-back, Talanoa and Manfredi on the wing (though Charnley has better stats), centre Fonua/Cudjoe are worth a shout but we've really struggled for a decent consistent one this year. I did think about throwing Gildart in there too.
Halves tough. Sandow has been injured a lot and Sneyd has generally been good. I'd also throw in Joe Mellor too.
Props you can throw in Hill and Walmsley and I'd have put Lynch in was it not for injury either.
Hooker was Roby and I'd also chip in McShane from Cas who has had a fab season.
Back-row Bateman and Murdoch-Masila (for the first half of the season) and maybe Sika Manu.

If you mean in the actual team I selected, I don't think so.
Thompson is the only obscure one but if you take the primary aim of a winger is to score tries, then he's scored more than Manfredi, Charnley, Broughton or any other winger mentioned in this thread, other than Solomona. I know wingers do some dirty work too but that's the premise.
We don't have a lot of centres this year have shone and Currie actually started this season in the centre position.
Taylor, Houghton, Ellis have been fantastic for Hull and there's no doubt they have played a part in their success. Junior Moors has been unplayable this season at times and his stats are comparable to the best of them (Bateman, The Coal Train). There may be bias but it's also worth mentioning that Moors was injured for a period this season so his stats should be higher in reality.
Gale and Sandow have a combined 70 try assists so should be the halves, even if one is technically played out of position. Both have scored more tries than Sneyd, more metres, better average gain.
If you're on about back-up options, I've thrown a few underrated Cas players into the mix. Gildart has played a lot of game this season and has contributed 9 tries and over 2000 metres in the process. I think he's a decent player. Certainly one to look for in the future.

Thompson, Currie and Westerman were the ones I meant.
Ellis has got to be a shoe in for 13 imo. He's had a ridiculous season for Hull. Thompson started well for about five games and Currie is good but there's been better centres than him (barely played centre anyhow).

| Ellis is my prop - again he's played more up the middle for me, hence why Westerman was in.
Currie has been excellent last few season and as I said, started the season at centre. Although he's played more at back-row, I don't think there's been anyone good enough to really displace him from being involved. Thompson, as explained, is second top try scorer. Not his fault he plays in a side that is inconsistent really.

Been a lot of players that have had great speells but seem to have dropped off , Bateman's absence should out an end to his chances tbf , D Clarke and Roby have only just woken up Roby more so , some of the Wigan boys have had injury interrupted seasons , Leeds the same

| Clark has been excellent all season, I'd say better than his man of steel year, now granted he probably hasn't been making as many eye catching breaks like then but his defence has been brutal this year.

Some pretty biased nonsense there.
If 7 players from Hull were to get in the dream team it would be the most single dominant club in SL dream teams for 15 years and a joint record. It would be 3 more than leeds had last year when winning the treble, 2 more than Saints had when winning the treble in 06, 2 more than when leeds won the league by 9 points in 04, Do you think that would be a fair reflection on this year?

Like I said at the bottom of my post . injuries have interrupted a lot of the players that would usually be challenging for a spot in the dream team ,
Hulk have been blessed with quite an uninterrupted season in reguards to injury's .
The closest competition to Shaul is probably Dorn and sneyde us probably in a 4 way fight for 2 spots . the rest IMHO are way ahead of anyone else
Can you name 2 that have been better than Fonao , 2 beter than minichello or 2propd better than Taylor this season . Ellis and Houghton I would say are light years ahead of anyone else this season .
What would your team be smokey ?

For my money Ellis and Taylor are, or should be, guaranteed. Shaul should be there too. Not necessarily my England pick but you'd need to argue pretty hard to get me to concede that he's not been the best full back this year. Houghton is probably in a neck and neck battle with Clarke, the coming weeks will decide that one. Sneyd has a shot, but there are several good candidates. Fonua also has a chance, but that's probably more down to the general dearth of good centres knocking about. Minichiello personally wouldn't be in my team, but he features in plenty of other peoples teams, and not just Hull fans either.
So to say it's a fix if they aren't in is of course biased nonsense, but it's not unrealistic to suggest they all could be in.

Can't be all that many, this season it has been very much if you can keep the spine of your team healthy then you can come up with results. There are lots of players who would have been considered for the dream team having played very well but not accrued enough games for consideration.
These players have been "exceptional" but have missed missed too many games:
Luke Dorn
Tom Johnstone
Mark Percival
Krishnan Inu
Antony Gelling
John Bateman
Hull and Warrington have managed to keep there best forwards and dominate for a large junk of the season to put the half backs on a good footing so the bulk of the dream team pack is coming from them.

| There is an interesting question from recent posts. How many games should a player have played in to be considered for the dream team and consequently MOS.
Most players pick up injuries, it's part of the sport, there's 23 league games before the split, another 7 afterwards and potentially 6 cup and play off's.
To miss 10 games or less still means a player had been involved in 2/3rds of the season, I think it's reasonable to consider him.

Good question when you put it like that , sounds worse when you say he's missed a third of the season though , if you missed the games at the start of the season you may possibly go under the radar and have a chance too . don't think cup games will count I wouldn't imagine if its a super league dream team . . I'd say it's over the 30 games
Got to Houghton but still 4 games to go

| Only 7 hull players in your 13?Fonua is a strange one as for first half of season he was seen by own fans as waste of an import slot.hes certainly caught eye in back end of season and again was a handful tonight.think Broughton has been very good and Taylor from cats.millington Clark Webster Dorn all must be in running but tbf I think your 13 won't be far wrong

| Think Mahe Fonua has played his way in as the season has progressed.
1. Shaul.
2. Manfredi.
3. Fonua.
4. Gelling (though I don't think he has been that good, I can't think of anyone better).
5. Solomona
6. Sandow.
7. Gale.
8. Hill.
9. Houghton.
10. Walmsley
11. Currie.
12. Bateman
13. Ellis.
As its a hypothetical team I just picked the best two halves, even though they both play at 7.
Unlucky to miss out:
Dorn (played too few games - but when he has played he has been excellent).
Clark (he and Houghton have been head and shoulders above other hookers, but there is only room for one).
Scott Taylor.
Sneyd (great kicking game but not at the level of Gale and Sandow with either his passing or running game).
Amor (still makes consistently good metres).
