as for leigh, they are a good team with some fine players but all this housing and arrogance is losing them a lot of friends, i also agree that fev weren't angels but almost every tackle, dropped ball, leigh players were in the faces of the fev players, rubbing heads, pushing hands into faces etc, taking swings
how many times did hock lash out or pull on someones shirt to cause a reaction before he was finally sent off to the delight of the leigh officials!

i'm sorry but leigh can be brilliant to watch but at the same time awful to watch

what was a good weekend showcasing the championship turned into a farce in the end.

In the 16 games Leigh have played so far this season I make it there have been 5 red cards and 19 sin bins.

nonsense! fev weren't angels by any means but in most of the flare ups it was a leigh players actions that caused it, that's not the opposition standing up to lesser opponents to who are trying to compete by intimidating far classier players, that's not sticking up for your mates,that was thuggery, and a blatant attempt to play the billy big balls from leigh and to most neutrals it was unpleasant stuff that isn't needed.

From a Leigh fan.....ie me:- personally am now tired of the 'fight fire with fire' ethos. Win or not I have not enjoyed the last 5 games or so (exception being wakey of course). I would like to see more than 40 minutes of RL each week regardless of whose fault it is. Sorry Paul, my opinion.

I see Leigh fans and players and staff are going for the Mario Ballotelli "why always us?" approach.

The game became almost unwatchable. Hock should have been sin binned for his slap on Baldwinson, McNally should've been sin binned for sliding in with his knees for the Hardman try. Featherstone contributed to the farce that the match became as well, but it's no coincidence that matches involving Leigh this season have had a higher number of yellow and red cards.

Well I hope we get beat soon, because i am sick of it. Regardless it takes two to tango but Mr Rowley needs to open his eyes. 80 minutes of rugby please Leigh.

i'am a Salford fan, and a lot call us, and yes a few of our players over steped the line, however after seeing Liegh at first hand in the cup and on TV, i can only say where is the rugby league? when there have the ball it looks like NFL with players being blockers.

Can't disagree with people slagging off Leigh's discipline. It isn't as bad as some are making out though but still needs sorting. But people saying we can't/dont play rugby are miles off the mark.

We scored over 1000 points last season and are 500+ halfway through this season. Slag off our discipline (I know a lot of Leigh fans are doing so!) but saying we don't play rugby is a nonsense. We play some brilliant attacking rugby from anywhere on the field and are much better when we cut out the 'hard man' stuff we get drawn into far too often.

Think Mr hock could be in a bit more trouble at Red Hall for calling the ref a d!ckhead to his face, and the ref does nothing about it for some reason, at the scuffle on 60 mins.

that's the problem, most people are accepting that leigh are a damn fine team and play some great rugby league, which is why most people are fed up of the thug tactics, as it's really not neccesary and takes away from the talent that leigh have

We are no angels and personally I would like to see the back of hock sooner rather than later. However I am seeing teams week in week out trying to wind Leigh up and slowing the game down to their level . It's the only way the part time teams can keep the score down against a full time team. I saw a lot of this today from Featherstone. Lots of high shots, mostly unpunished and lots of facials on grounded players. I don't remember a single high shot from Leigh only retaliation.

Hock however is a bloody liability. He seems to want to fight more than play and I genuinely think we would have lost at Wakefield if he had hadn't got injured.

Don't take this as a 'Leigh are super perfect' post as I dont think we are and I will be very happy and surprised if we get within 20 points of Wire in the cup game.

Self fulfilling prophecy at the minute. Everyone knows we will react so they push us and we give them exactly what they want. We need to smarten up. It will cost us eventually. Didn't today though, we didn't need to be anywhere near our best today to beat Fev.

Totally disagree. Fev are getting painted as angels here bit some of the high shots were pretty bad. The one on Emmett in the 1st half was appalling and worse than the sending off.

I think this game would have been much better if it had a stronger referee though. Hock should have been binned for the slap without a doubt, the blokes an idiot.

It's one thing to say there's a lot of cards in Leigh games but I bet most are from the opposition.

Hock has been a a bit of a tit since he arrived. Got to do something special to change my mind now. I wasn't at all convinced when we signed him and I am genuinely angry that a player like Tom Spencer who would run through brick walls for the team is left out for that clown. Hock needs to smarten up or p*ss off as far as i'm concerned.

i haven't painted fev as angels at all, but leigh fans are insisting that fev players started all the melee's ...the first minute of the game, leigh player reacts to being pushed into touch by throwing handbags and the rest joined in, yes fev were guilty of some stuff but again, i stand by that leigh players were not reacting to over exuberant neanderthals who had no right to be on the same field as their world beating superstars, they were the instigators on many occasions.
