Westwood is the best 2nd rower in the comp this year, then Menzies, then Hoffman, then O'Donnell, then maybe Manu.

Only reason I have compared Menzies is due to him being a similar player to Manu, playing on the edge as an attacking threat. The others are more known for their defensive work. Id rather have Manu than any of the 2nd Rowers above as id prefer to see these guys running wide and attacking - Manu is 4th on tackle busts, way ahead of any other 2nd rower, which in turn has led to Yeaman and Briscoe being in the top 3 try scorers.

While Westwood may be the best work horse 2nd rower in the comp, Manu is easily the best attacking 2nd rower so far this season.

Hoffman's been very impressive when I've seen him, but I'd suggest most of his tries come from support and "being in the right place at the right time" from kicks etc, rather than ball carrying ability.

I was about to say the same thing. Although he makes plenty of breaks for a second rower (probably one of the highest in the league), a lot of his tries have been him just popping up with a loose ball. All tries are still worth 4 points though.

Really? And how many times you seen him play?? I know them statistics don't sound great but that's from 09'. This season he's been much improved to the extent the step too far that you seem to think he can't take, he has. Much to englands gain. Or is it that he doesn't play for a top four team, just Rovers.

He's 8th in missed tackles this year and a centre with 20 tries shows he doesn't feed his winger enough too, I'm sure Inglis would love to be lined up against him anyway.

And them numbers weren't from 09 they're from his entire career in the first team, 09 until now, and didn't he break through into the first time like halfway through the year in 09?

Kris Welham is should be in the England team without doubt, He was recently the SL player of week for good reason.

Stats can be interpreted to mean anything. Welham has made over 100 tackles more than Kirk Yeaman and considerably more than most centres in the SL this season.

Probably made more tackles as teams hammer your left centre channel due to him being awful in defence. Yeaman on the other hand is pretty good defensively (along with Briscoe/Manu), which leads most sides to concentrate their attack down our right hand side.
