Back on topic Latu has been released by the Wolfs. Strange time to release someone but frees up a quota spot.

Something to do with the weather? I remember Brett Mullins saying his hamstrings couldn't deal with the weather and pitches at the beginning of the year, and the different type of training Leeds were doing, due to the weather I guess. Mullins didn't last long over here.

We already had a quota space available I think, Inglis, Clark, Austin, Mamo, Akouala on quota now leaves us with two spots free.

I think this is more about releasing cap space, as the season is yet to start, any payments made to him wont count on the cap.

Interviews with Price in the local paper seem to suggest we will start the year with the squad we have, but may look to strengthen through the year. My guess is they are looking for a second row partner for Currie.

I think you do know, if Gelling has a contract to play pro-sport under the supervision of the directors and staff of a professional sports club then that's a far better way of sorting him out than sticking him in a cell at taxpayers expense. The opposition fans will give him plenty of "punishment" that's for sure.

Bit disappointed in Leigh in signing a wife beater. But just like when Salford signed another wife beater in Lui, if you are desperate then you will sign anyone i guess.

I would never condone Gelling's currently "alleged" offences, only point out that many teams have signed players with very deplorable pasts.
