| IF the RFL want to remotely be seen to be addressing this problem of use of the head then it has to be minimum of 3 games, frankly it's full contact with agression, how much actual force should not actually dictate the grading but will.
As for Peacock, he's a spinless , yet again showing his lack of class by grabbing a players throat and trying to injure a player by grabbing onto the ankle the way he did undue pressure and held on well after the tackle was complete..grub doesn't cover it..

| By grabbing on to the ankle to injure do you mean grabbing on the ankle to make a tackle? Complete tard doesn't cover it.

| Couldn't believe what I was seeing! I think Sinfields frustration was with himself at giving away the penalty, but he swore at Dorn who then said some choice words back and it stemmed from that, it was a ridiculous over reaction, it wasn't a proper headbutt IMO but I think it deserves 3 matches, his record should help him but it could cost leeds dearly and just as we were getting a full team back.
other than that it was a great game, and I think a draw was the right result both teams looked great in both attack and defence but only in patches and both teams lacked composure which as a leeds fan surprises me as usually we manage to sniff a win from these games.

| This is where the disciplinary have made a rod for their own backs really, you let Bowen off with trying to take someone's head off off the ball in week 1, you let Dudson charge into the back of players off the ball until it's so obvious you can't not charge him and then give him three games (not deliberately picking Wigan players here, they were just the first two that came to mind) so where do you go with one of SuperLeague's top players who's not said boo to a goose in 6 years when they have a meltdown moment? Based on all of that they should apologise and give him no ban, but realistically 3 games for me, sadly.

Yes, umpteen years of being an honest, fair and humble player is almost certainly fake, especially when compared to the one time we've seen him lose his cool for ten seconds. You've certainly got his number.
As for Peacock, he was defending his captain as most top props do week in week out.

| Peacock has started to become the pantomime villain except that it's real violence. I'm 50/50 on the intent in that tackle but regardless it was defiantly one which carried the potential to cause serious damage.
Sinfield's head butt, unfortunately going by the letter of the disciplinary guidelines is a serious one. While his record is good, in my opinion he has been a dirty, maybe niggly player for years and he's going to get a lighter penalty than another player in the same position.

You've contradicted yourself here. If you didn't think it was a 'proper' headbutt then it wouldn't deserve 3 matches would it?
It was definitely a 'proper' headbutt. He didn't rub heads like that Leigh player did to Peacock in the CC game. (Peacock who got off scott free for punching - probably the only player to do so this season). He clearly headbutted and his manner was definitely aggressive. All that was very plain to see. Whether the disciplinary committee have some special kind of headbutt in mind when they describe it as aggressive (Grade E-F, 4-8 matches) rather than a headbutt while displaying an aggressive manner I don't know but by the RFL's own disciplinary rules he can't be charged with anything less than a Grade C (3-5) because he definitely made full contact with Dorn's head!

| Seriously, nobody within the game (cretins from Wigan who've never got over the humblings of 2012 don't count) doesn't think Sinfield is a legend and a nice fella. But he'll get a proper ban like anybody else, tapered for his good record.

| Quote ="Big Jim Slade"As entertaining as this 'Aren't Leeds the big bad wolf' business is, can we get a touch of perspective?
Sinfield got the red card he deserved, but lets not pretend for one second that he's a dirty player, he's probably one of the cleanest players in the game and this is so far out of character I'd not believe it had happened unless I'd seen it with my own eyes.
Peacock wasn't trying to hurt Clark in any way, shape, or form. He tackled him and naturally rolled over his ankle, all he was trying to do by holding the ankle was slow down the play. Suggesting otherwise makes your agenda a touch obvious.
Leeds are not a dirty team (check out the stats), so expecting a headbutt from Leeds ahead of any other team suggests you're either an idiot, or have an agenda. I'd suggest both.
Yes, Leeds got every single call in the second half. When the ball hit McGuire (who hadn't moved) from the kick and it went back to one we got that call. When McGuire almost regathered and the ball bounced back up and hit the cas players arm and went forward but that wasn't given and Cas got the ball - we got that call too. When half a dozen Cas passes from dummy half went forward and weren't spotted, we got all those calls. Just like in the first half, in the first minute no less, when the ball was stripped from Peacock leading to the opening try, another call that went our way.
Pile on all you like, but at least try and stick vaguely to the reality of what actually happened.'"
That's a big ask on here Jim.

| Unexpected from Sinfield - last man you'd see get sent off. It wasn't a simple touching heads like Leeds fans are portraying on this thread but equally it's not the aggressive smack that other people are saying too. Dorn moves towards Sinfield (not with his head) just stepping forward. Perhaps Sinfield felt like he was going to get it so got first shot in with the headbutt with a medium force.
I'd give him a 2 match ban.
With the Peacock incident, I'll have to watch it back again but my belief is that Clark goes down with Leeds man on him and rolls over looking to get on his front. As he does so, he wants to move his ankle so it's flat but Peacock holds on with undue pressure keeping it where it is and bending it with force.
The simple fact is that he should have let go - there was another Leeds man completing the tackle and Clark made it known he was in pain. For me, it's no more of a technique issue - possibly just a fine - but don't think it's a ban.

Eh, have you ever seen a 'proper' headbutt? what Sinfield did was not a full on headbutt. And I'm not excusing his his actions, it deserves a ban.
As you've said he can't be charged with anything less than 3 games, which is what I think he will get.
Peacocks non ban has nothing to do with this I'm not sure why its relevant.

could we not say the same for leeds but for 2013.
Sinfield deserves a ban it was foul play and defiantly something you don't want children replicating, its by far worse than punching no matter how much force was behind it.
Also Jamie Peacock needs to be warned or banned for grabbing a player around the throat there is no need for it, you grab a player by the shirt not put your hands around their throat and its not the first time.
3-4 for Sinfield
warning - 1 for Peacock

Thats a crazy expectation of a player. All Peacock did was tackle a player and hold on to his leg. The player rolled over and the ankle became twisted between Peacock and the floor. I think, in those moments, to expect Peacock to think, this roll may lead to the ankle getting in to a dangerous position, there is another man in the tackle, it will be completed, I will let go, is just far too much.
All Peacock did was tackle a player by the ankles, He actually doesnt bend it all. He didnt put the ankle in a bad position. Peacock attempted a tackle in a text book way.
