| Don't know why we make a huge deal of isolated incidents. Every time we have an incident rival fans try to drag this up, and I don't know what they get out of it. I don't think Wakefield have a huge problem, I've been there on a number of occasions and never once felt intimidated.

| Large fight broke out directly behind my parents who were at the game. Saints fans were chanting "easy" ironically, wakey fans didn't respond well, and it devolved from there (according to their account)
Whether minor or not, it shouldn't happen at any game.

Agree. Rarely felt anything other than welcomed at various RL grounds I've been to and if there has been any "bad feeling" it has generally involved some youngster with too much ale....hardly a RL issue.

These things do tend to be circular so a week after a few s cause a bit of trouble people scrutinise the crowd the next time and things get blown out of proportion. Then it dies down and another club has a "mini crisis". But honestly, I've rarely felt intimidated at the rugby and whilst alcohol can cause problems that goes for whatever activity it's linked with. I'm not sure what we're achieving by blowing these incidents out of proportion week after week. I strongly doubt we have a hooligan crisis.

we get it every year from so called wakey fans moving from the end of the western terrace to the north terrace and vice versa, on at least 4 occasions they have tried to start fights with giants supporters on the western terrace. luckily our fans are a bit more intelligent and try not to get involved, but there is a problem with some wakefield supporters.

| I was there and for some time after the game and didn't notice anything at all. I'm not saying there wasn't anything, but if there was, it sounds isolated. But like some have said, there's always a couple of meatheads who are spoiling for something. The Saints fans are some of the best in the league and why anyone would want to have a go is beyond me.

| I walked from where I stand in the Northstand right the way round and out of the exit where the majority of Saints fans were stood and saw nothing? Didn't see a rush of security staff, any great number of them together or anything......easy for someone to write 'mass brawl' somewhere on the internet and it to be taken as gospel....
Decent fans the Saints lot and so are the majority of Wakey fans, and just about all teams to be honest....all teams will have a fair few numpty's.....sure if any have proved to have caused trouble they will be banned like the last lot....it's all the club an do....

How do you know it was the Wakefield fans?
I've seen just one eye witness comment from a Sts fan who was there and he says it was the Sts fans goading the Trinity fans and they got a reaction but nothing to worry about.
I was at the game and didn't see any fighting at all so how much of a "Mass Brawl" can it have been.
At the end of the game two of us Wakefield fans walked through the West stand terracing where all the Sts fans were to get to the exit near where we were parked and there wasn't a single bad word or contentious action being made by Wakefield or Sts fans.
So I ask again how bad can it have been?

Is chanting "easy easy easy" really classified as goading now? It happens at virtually every game without incident. Why would Wakefield be the only exception to that? The Wakefield fans were giving it throughout the match and didn't like it back after saints took the lead. I'm all for banter amongst teams, and hardly "goading" (at least no more so than the Wakefield fans were giving it earlier) - but there was no need to get physical.
You can ask how bad was it really all you like, ANY incidents shouldn't be tolerated, at all. It was fine last year, don't know what's changed.
It occurred at the sheltered bit of the west(?) side - the bit towards the flats.
There was also a bit of trouble at the Salford game reading their board.

If that's the case the segregation policy shouldn't be relaxed and the western terrace made away only for teams who bring a few.

I've no idea what happened today, I'm a Wigan fan. But from personal experience, I've witnessed Wakey fans (a minority) that 'give it' to the away fans for literally 80 minutes. Asking for trouble.

| I didn't see anything either. No chanting in the north stand at all. I found atmosphere quiet actually between tries.
There was a lady taken out of north stand after abusing a steward but not sure what her problem was. No fighting, just a stream of obscenities.

| I'll tell you what I did see, there was a Sts fan who was stood almost in the middle of the Wakefield fans in the North stand and throughout the first half he was visibly shaking his head a tutting at comments being made around him. In the second half he got into a number of arguments with fans around him because they were unhappy with Roby. Quite why he decided to place himself where he did is a bit of a mystery, the cynic in me says he was there to be provocative but no doubt he's wandering around Merseyside telling everyone how bad the Trinity fans are.

Could you please ask your parents to contact the club and provide as much information on the incident as possible.
It is important that facts are established quickly in these incidents so that anyone involved can be identified and dealt with accordingly.
It is important for our sport as a whole that we eradicate any anti-social behaviour of any kind from the terraces.
Until full facts of incidents are known it is in the best interest of the sport as a whole to avoid perpetuating incidents, as unconfirmed rumours are likely be exaggerated in the wider media and as a result will paint a detrimental picture of our sport to the wider public.
