I like all of that apart from Avignion. It's the England & Wales World Cup not the European World Cup

| I do wish France had been given their group games at home though, three guarenteed sell out gates without hardly any marketing money having to be put into it. Maybe even a quarter final too.

I don't agree. If we want to be a strong international sport we have to prove we can get good crowds for our premier competition wherever the location. To have games as far apart as Cumbria and Perpignan would look silly in my opinion. As long as clubs are involved in selling tickets and the fixtures are confirmed in plenty of time then we have a great chance to pull in the speccies.
The RFL need to offer incentives to clubs from amateur to Super League for selling tickets. At Championship and SL leverl that could be points towards a SL licence and at amateur and conference level it could mean equipment and grants to be put towards refurbishing clubhouses, transport etc.

Leeds to Avignon is less than Sydney to Brisbane. There's a lot to be said for France playing a game or two at home. It's not like there's going to be a massive travelling contingent from Samoa or PNG. Love the idea of France v Nz and England-Oz at Wembley to open. I thought the double-header was a rip-roaring success. Massively impressed with how many southerners (especially ex students) went to the game under their own steam... I was with one of two parties from Exeter Uni, but there were another three or four alumni groups who organised their own trips. And the banter in the crowd between Brunel Uni and South London Storm was cracking.

That's good to hear. I would have thought Ashton Gate would have been a better choice than the Memorial Stadium, but good to see Bristol getting some games. Bit disappointed at no Cardiff City stadium though, would have been good for a QTR Final.

| I'd prefer to see the final at Wembley and a double-header to open the tournament. Now that the RFL have decided where games will be held they need to crack on and confirm dates as soon as possible.

Bristol City will probably be at their 28,000 seater new stadium by then. Rovers holds around 14,000 and already stages rugby union. But City are still involved in the marketing and promotion.

| It's disappointing to see that London will not host any games - I assume that some sort of bid will have been launched. Surely a game involving either Australia or New Zealand would have been worth playing at The Stoop or one of London's soccer grounds. As it is, it seems rather short-sighted to ignore the capital city.
On the plus side, well done to Bristol for being the only city in England outside the heartlands to get the nod.

| Not all the locations have been announced have they? And the semis haven't been announced so it's quite possible that London will get one of the semis. At least I hope they do as it would be foolish to ignore London, especially after the response from southern people to staging the 4 nations match at Wembley.
