How Sheens has kept his job for so long is a mystery. With the squad at Wests they should be semi's every year.

Although Wests have got some good players (Benji Marshall, Robbie Farah Tim Moltzen and most recently Lote Tuquiri) they also have some ordinary ones like Gareth Eliss and Mark Flanagan as well. As well as those 2 clowns they have Liam Fulton and Jason Cayless who have never really got their intensity back from playing in Superleague. Its not much of an all round good squad.

And apart from Robbie Farah I cant think of any Wests players who have played for Australia in recent history.

Tim Sheens coached them to a grand final win but they have ridden on the back of that for too long.

I cant see Sticky going to the Tigers, I reckon he might go to Souths.

Bazza- You had a choice of a squad of 25-30 to pick from and typically picked out 2 Brits!!!! We ask for consistency in life and you are consistent!

I know Eliss is a pom .. is Flanagan one too???

I think Stuart's done his dash in the NRL for the time being. He left the Roosters in absolute chaos and the Sharks have been generally t*rd ever since he joined them.

Unless John Lang quits for some reason he'll be at Souths next year.

Sticky has struggled since Gus Gould stopped helping him out with coaching.

Souths will make the 8 this year but they havent set the competition on fire as many thought they would.

John Lang might hang onto his job at Souths if they do well in the finals but I still reckon Ricky Stuart will be there next year

Its like me telling you I'm going to buy a new Holden Maloo ute* with every concievable extra on it known to mankind. This Ute Im going to buy can do 1000kmh. It converts into a jet fighter. 3. Bazza...leave Dally alone, he gets confused without his mates
4. Suprised the sharks just didn't get rid now...they are fodder at the moment and a new coach could have 1/2 a season to start getting it right.
5. No doubt this failed coach (at the sharks anyway) will end up turning bridesmaids of SL into potential brides....only for Leeds to run off with the groom again come october.

They played some good footy against the Eels at times last weekend. Ok I know its only the Eels but you can only beat whats in front of you. Gallen was awesome.

Agree, they did play well last week....it's the rest of the seaon that is the problem. They need back to back wins to get their confidence up, but in my humble opinion, they don't have "the tools" or the right coach in place to challenge for a spot in the 8.

Probably not this year.

They do have some youngsters that could kick on and do well in the NRL in the next few years though.

Kade Snowden has been particularly impressive this season I've thought. And Tim Smith is settling back into life in the NRL nicely so far.

They have the Broncos next....at Cronulla. Hopefully Origin 1 will be particularly hard on the Broncos players. Another good performance this weekend like they put in against the Eels and who knows.........


Although knowing the inconsistent Sharkies it will probably be another Broncos win

Stuart's record is dreadful sincwe the Premiership he won with the Roosters (which as you say was hugely helped by Gould), and I doubt fans of any NRL side would look forward to him becoming their new coach.

As for Souths, they look a couple of quality players off being genuine title contenders. They now have a pack, but Sandow/Sutton aren't the greatest halfbacks and Warren Ryan (always worth a read) reckoned the Souths outside backs were very poor as a unit defensively.

BTW BM your judgement on players sucks. Before his injury Moltzen gave some of the most cowardly performances I've ever seen from a full back. And looked very average at halfback as well.
