That's clearly not true.
Even in my time of watching RL (the last 25 years or so) , there have been a number of times when Eng/GB had the better pack .......... the late 80's and early 90's when you had the likes of Goodway, Ward, Hanley, Platt for example.

A bit like why NSW can't compete with Queensland - it all about the forwards - not, NSW have Weyman, Bird, Gallen, Whatmough, Perry, Hindmarsh, Waterhouse etc but can't get anywhere near Queensland - would not have anything to do with Lockyear, Thurston, Slater, Inglis, Folau and Boyd would it?
Knew you lacked any understanding of the game your post above say all you need to know.

Queensland have a far better team than NSW across the board.
Keep thinking your side has the sort of pack that a team of special forces soldiers led by Chuck Norris couldn't stop and leave the reality stuff to people who know what they are talking about

Moron post 1000 from the resident joker...
1958 and 1962 saw better British packs.
The 1970s saw British forwards dominate both the northern and southern hemisphere competitions - Britain lacked success after the mid 1970s solely because of the migration of forwards to Australia.
The 1920-1950 run of GB has also been recently pointed to.
The English/GB forwards from 1910 on were generally excellent.
As alluded to, the early 1990s packs from Britain were also of very high quality (consider the 1990 series and the 1992 series).
That covers most of the 20th Century...

That excludes you then - how can a side with Paul Gallen - "the best forward in the world" - and Greg Bird not far behind get dominated in the forwards?
You are the only person who thinks that the Queensland backline had nothing at all to do with them winning the SOO in 2010!!
As you leave the discussion to those who know what they are talking about and get back behind your bar in Earls Court - you are a joke.

As I said you are the only person who thought the strength of the Queensland backline did not play a major factor in the outcome of 2010 SOO series.
As to your lack of knowledge - I rest my case - as the say goes "better to let others think you a fool rather than put your fingers on a keyboard and confirm it"

Cannot read either - it was obvious to everyone but "you" the impact the Aussie national side backline that played for Queensland would have on the game. There wasn't one player in the NSW backline that would have got into the Queensland side. To say the forwards dominated the NSW forwards is simply laughable.
No surprise you didn't comment on the strength of the Queensland backline - you simply were unable to grasp the magnitude of their impact.
As I said best leave the words of wisdom to those who have an understanding of the game.
Get back behind that bar and keep serving the beer

I think that classes as saying the forwards were better also?
From a neutral POV, the forwards pretty much cancelled each other out. I was particularly impressed with Shillington for the Maroons and Creagh for NSW. 2 cracking players.
I wouldn't say that Queensland's backline is so impressive, but that NSW's is a walking disaster. I would go as far to say that NSW's backline would be beatable by England's perspectives!

Theres no doubting hes a good player but something about Ben Creagh really grinds my gears. Hes just got one of those faces. As a Blues fan its annoying, I want them to win but at the same time would love Sam Thaiday or anyone for that matter to smash him and smash him good. He also plays for the team I hate the most in the NRL.
On the subject of Thaiday, I'm surprised hes only had one or two mentions in a best fwd in the world thread.

Thaiday good player.
No one has really set forth their ideas on forwards in-depth. It is more a case of stating that both Burgess and Ellis are world-class.
