Isn't he just taking the urine out of us meaning we have just won our CUP Final against them hence the London trip quote, Wonder what will be in the Ref's report regarding what happen at half time allegedly.

I've never known a club in any sport like it. They are so convinced that it is simply their right to win matches and are so incapable of dealing with defeat that they have to release a video to their fans detailing their excuses.

Just shows that even with a team still capable of beating any other team once you lose the mental battle you're done.
Wakefield's turn around in confidence and from that playing great rugby with a desire to play for each other is good to see and they fully exploited any weaknesses physical or mental that Wigan had and battered them.
The thing i don't understand is if you have players that shouldn't have been out there as Wane alludes to then why risk their well-being, why not shove the less established junior 1st teamers in and ensure you give your betterplayers more time to recover?
Surely you do more damage by playing ill players in the medium to long term?
That Wigan have supposedly released a video to excuse away the defeat says it all.

I'd be saying sure we had a few injuries but we and that includes myself particularly let ourselves and our fans down but Wakefield played some fantastic rugby which exposed any weakness we had. We'll look at what went wrong, ensure the younger lads aren't disheartened because we all have being on the end of a belting and move on.

I think Radlinski's comments were much more respectful of Wakefield than Wane's were. He at least acknowledged that we played well.
The only thing missing was the phrase, we put that team out because, even though some had been ill, we still thought we could win, and we were wrong.

Seriously though, Wane's "banter" was clearly being disrespectful but, the guy was never going to come out and say that Wigan gave up in the second half, having been comprehensively out played and out classed in every department.

FWIW there is no doubt that Wigan were weakened but, in previous seasons, they have fielded weaker teams against the likes of Wakefield and Widnes to rotate their squad and they've still usually come out on top but, not on Sunday.

The senior players that were out there gave up the fight and regardless of Wane's outward complacency, this will be a concern for him and everyone else associated with your club.

Come on you can't believe that. He's welcome to have banter at the appropriate time and as the coach of the team that just got trounced the post match interview isn't the time. I've defended many of Wane's comments in the past but I doubt the best defense lawyer in the country couldn't defend that. It was disrespectful. Even if the scoreline were reversed it would be.

Wakefield beat Huddersfield with quite a few regulars out. Did they complain, no they didn't. Wakefield beat Leeds who were still struggling without Sinfield and Peacock. Did they complain? No( but their forum went into complete meltdown).

Something about this mysterious virus doesn't sit right with me. If they knew there was a virus going around why didn't they forfeit the match and pay whatever fine they had to instead letting players take the field and possibly spreading it to opposition players. And if they preferred to let players go on the field instead of forfeiting the match that would show IL and the Wigan club up in the worst possible light.

And therefore I believe there isn't a virus whatsoever. The video from KR was the biggest load of bull and they should've simply apologised for the performance and that would be that.
