He also took up a 12 month sabbatical away from RL, just before joining, to improve his game in the face of even higher standards at the much esteemed St Helens.

I'm bored of hearing about Ben Barba, I'm not even a Saints fan. I never said he didn't sign on the back of a bender that got out of control but just because he did it doesn't change anything when it comes to The Monaghans and Chris Sandow.

I hadn't seen that, I just thought it was unfair to say they'd not signed anyone decent in the last 10 years (or what ever you wrote). I have however been impressed by Roberts this season for Wire so not sure what he's on about.

Shows we have a longevity for it then and why does it matter how many games he played? the greatest adorned this league in a Wire shirt and then even came back for pre-season training a few times as a coach... Michael Monaghan never signed because of any off field incident, and he is one of the very best foreign imports we’ve ever had.

What you fail to take into consideration is the fact Saint's were going through the throes of building their own stadium during the period you allude to.

In that case, don't (referring to a few saints fans) come on here trying to belittle other club's signings when you know your own signings aren't anything to shout about.

You’re laughable, so because our recruitment hasn’t been brilliant (we’ve still made the semi final every season in this dreadful period you talk about) we can’t criticise any Warrington players. The reality is the signing of Barba and Holbrook as coach are both better than any signing Warrington have ever made. And I’ll criticse Tyrone Roberts as and when I like because quite frankly, he’s garbage. Moran might be loaded but I bet he’ll be gutted come the end of the season, when Roberts es back home, to see he’s literally thrown £300,000 down the drain.

Is this a joke? He’s literally been one of the worst scrum half’s in the league along with the likes of Finn and Littlejohn. The highest payed player in SL is one of the worst in his position. Hilarious really.
