| Good, at least we'll know one way or the other and if he does decide to go back to the NRL were not scrabbling around in the bargain bins or Gawwy going on a club jaunt to Aus mid season when all the best meat has already gone. We could be learning from our past mistakes here lads.....

That's a strange one, as Hull hasn't moved since he signed. He could always move, of course.

| Thought he would have moved to be honest, lots of lovely villages outside Hull. Maybe can't face leaving Leeds and those lunches at Heaney & Mill on Otley Road

| I hope we can stop carping on about Martin leaving. He's a good player and very good kicker, and if we had a better set of props it would have been great if he stayed. But he's gone, and that freed up a much-needed quota spot. All the best to him at Rovers - definitely one of our best ever imports.

Agreed, in a perfect world he would've seen his career out with us at Headingley but his contract value and quota spot were badly needed to fix some glaring holes in our team so he unfortunately has been moved on.
A fantastic servant to the club and a very popular player behind the scenes by all accounts but yeah, we move on unfortunately.

| Good, best Prop we have produced in years has decided to remain with the club. Now time to take his game up a level under a much better coach than he has been used to for most if not all of his career so far.

| Yup. Big year needed from all the props this year I think.
Mik has been steady for the most part,Holroyd has been allover the place or injured and Lisone just hasn't done enough.
Hoping Palasia and Jenkins along with a fit/ full preseason for the other three will make a big difference.
If Miller/Hall/Handley can keep making the ground early on to help out and Newman / Sivo adding more strike it might finally be back to the play offs.
Still worried about Frawley/7 our kicking game and leadership hasn't really changed and was very sub par at points in the last few years.
At least we have Connor as a back up. Sinfield should be on a long loan with recall from game 1.

Great news. The rest of the out of contract players, for differing reasons, are harder to make a retain/let go decision on. I do feel that Frawley and Lisone would both have to play out of their respective skins in order to make a case for staying given the shortage of quota spots. Here's hoping both Holroyd and Gannon come back firing on all cylinders and make it an easy decision to make.

| Yep great news.
Puts the Wakey dreamers back in their box.
Really hope Gannon and Holroyd can stay fit.
That could make a big difference to how competitive our pack is.

Strange comment really, we offered him a deal, I believe he was close to signing with us or Wigan, or potentially that was his agent just trying to get him a better deal, he decided to stay with Leeds. For what it`s worth I would of had him in a heartbeat, a lot of fans weren`t keen.
The days of Wakey "Dreaming" of signing decent players are over, I`m not sure for instance there is much difference in terms of quality and pedigree between Oledski and Mckmeekan, who Catalan tried there best to keep. We might still have some work still to do to entice players to the club but money isn`t really an issue.

Wish you all the best mate. It would give me great pleasure to see Wakey leaving Cas etc in their rear view mirrors... it will be good for SL to see a club with vastly improved finances progress.

I think it`s like most agents to tout their player to most clubs in order to see what`s on offer.
Agent and player then go to preferred club or clubs and say this is what I can get at Wakefield for example and preferred club then says we can match it or beat that offer and both agent and player walk away happy. I`m sure Wakefield and HKR were at least 2 of the clubs offering him a deal. I also agree that the signings of Makmeekan and Johnstone wouldn`t be cheap and shows real ambition from your club. I think that you possibly need 3 or 4 decent signings and you could be challenging the mid 3rd of the table as opposed to the bottom 3rd going forward.
