lot of people dont wont leave our old grounds but to earn money you need to and by the way cas or Wakie will not paying rent on our grounds our councell are the tight they wont put a penny in to the projects.
If Cas went into the other division we have a proven record that we can survive we got 3 time bigger crowds than any other clubs.

Diffrent in Cas we eat sleep and sh-te rugby we would go no lower than 3 thousand for poor match It is very to hard to explain but what else would we do, not many watch football in Cas or any other sports Rugby is all we know.

If Leeds Utd were ever back in the Premier League, I'd wager it'd harm Wakefield and Castleford far more than it would harm Leeds Rhinos.

Things that a stadium NEEDS to be classed as premier in this country (in my opinion):

All stands MUST be covered.
Nothing obstructing the view anywhere in each stand (so no stanchions)
Plenty of toilets, catering stands, etc.
At least 6,000 seats.
At least 12,000 capacity.

Indeed. Not enough 'character' at grounds these days, and it's not getting any better with umpteen off-the-shelf stadia, including our own. Long live Craven Park and the likes.

Another bad thing about old grounds is that even when watching on TV you still dont get the best views. Especially when it comes to replays and when your getting decisions going to big screen.

Can't actually think of any examples of what you mean, but I'll go along with it and simply state that said clubs would just need to relocate their camera gantry, rather than rebuild their ground.

So some people have shirts i have a west tigers shirt despite never having been to australia, and england ru shirt despite never being to an england ru game and not liking the sport and a deportivo la coruna shirt despite never having gone to a game and not liking football.

Also man united and chelsea shirts are just as common in cas as leeds united, the vast majority of people that wear them dont go to football games but do go to rugby games both ametuer and proffesional.

I dont think anyone who doesnt come from cas has the first idea what rugby league means to the town, its the most important thing, more people talk about amatuer rl in the town than they do about all of football, only in cas have i ever seen signs in pubs saying that in the event of a clash between football and rugby on the telly rugby will always be shown.

If everywhere in the country had the same attitude towards rl as cas, then rl would be the national sport.

I've met plenty of leeds fans from cas, only one of them ever chose leeds united over cas and everyone in the pub took the p*s all night long.

I'm not sure on catering stands. I don't mind having one or two pints at a game if the mood takes me but is there any real need for an abundance of food outlets being in the criteria?

Yeah, there was nothing better than standing in the freezing rain on an uncovered stand and having to wade through pi$$ when you visited the stinking 'facilities'.

When did the game and some supporters become so snobby? Fans of certain teams will be wanting heated seats next. I know some grounds are not up to scratch but in all cases the teams are trying their hardest to rectify this. Does not make anyone better than another. A lot of teams in SL are fortunate to be in the situation the are in with stadia built by football clubs, not with much imput from themselves.

Personally, I don't like new stadia. The only 'new' RL stadium I like, is the Galpharm. But that's only because of it's location. My two least favourite stadiums for watching any sport are SFS, DW and The Reebok. If I wanted to watch the game in a comfy seat in a serene environment, I could quite easily stay at home and save £20 plus beer money.

Allianz Arena is world class. Dortmund have a great stadium too. Eastlands and the Emirates are highly regarded too. There are many more. No RL stadium in this country comes close to matching any of these stadiums.

I hate having to get up and sit down again every 5 minutes because some weak bladdered cretin wants a pi$$. You can't beat standing - in a ground like Castleford's i have to say (brilliant atmosphere). Call me cloth capped - i prefer "retro" stadiums

I agree with you (and not just the cas part) any stadium that doesnt offer the opportunity to stand immediatley goes down in my estimation ie hudds has got quite a good ground but i will never enjoying going there as you have to sit (we were made to sit down even though we were on the back row!).

Thankfully cas are planning to have one standing area for the new stadium.
