The unfortunate thing about Toulouse being ready for a crack at the big time is that they won't be given time like Catalans were. Without that 3 years to develop I fear it won't work. Its a shame because they could be even bigger than the Dragons!

Dingwall has a population of under 6000, and yet Ross County play in the highest level of Scottish football. Population means very little.

I think the point is asking a currently small club (with potential) in France to play in the British 3rd tier is as stupid as asking a small club (with potential) in Britain to play in the 3rd tier in France.

Going to watch Rovers v Catalans in Toulouse was a fantastic experience last year (the result helped...), that town has massive potential and I came away thinking it would be criminal of the RFL not to capatilise on it. And then look what (hasn't) happened...

Shame the seasons don't marry up then the top two teams from the French league could join with the middle 8 for a chance at promotion.

Maybe just add in the French Champions to make it a "middle 9".
