Injury update: Colin Best (STH'S) damaged rib. Junior Vaivai replaces him for this weeks game against the Titans

Thanks for all injury and/or suspension updates all.

4 from 6 last week cos i missed fridays games.
BULLDOGS - Very close IMO, the Dogs got robbed in this game last year and will want revenge, i think they'll get it, just. Matt Cooper is always injured, whats up with him now? I'd get shut at the end of the year, he's just costing them money like last year for doing very little.
SOUTHS - lots of points IMO, Titans will get points with their speed out wide but Souths will be too strong in the forwards and and will take the 2 points home. Shame about Pettybourne, looks a real powerhouse.
WARRIORS - Battle of the basements sides this year IMO. Warriors in a tight one simply because their at home. Sharks struggled for points last year and i dont think their recruitment has been good enough to make a difference, Covell & Pomeroy are dire.
KNIGHTS - The Storm got the job done against the Sharks but only just and i think the Knights will make it 2 from 2, shame Junior Sau is out but they do have De Gois back.
COWBOYS - Another high scoring game between two good attacking team with poor defence, should be good to watch. Fancy the Cowboys as long as Thurston is on song like the second half against the Broncos, they need Matty Bowen back ASAP. Should be a good match-up in the forwards aswell.
EELS - Losing Stewart is a massive blow to Manly and i think they'll struggle without him. Eels should have too much for them especially at home, Eels by plenty.
ROOSTERS - Should be the game of the week, plenty of attacking flair on show, probably loads of points scored too. Could go either way but i'm just going for the Roosters.
RAIDERS - Got injuries but i'm going for the Raiders at home, they won 56-0 last year so the Broncos will want revenge but they wont get it IMO. The Broncos should of lost last week and won but they wont win here. Raiders in a tight one.

Friday
DRAGONS- similar match to the eels clash, not much in it but dragons structures and defence will get them the win
RABBITOHS- not impressd by titans yet

Saturday
WARRIORS- warriors at home, sharks look ordinary in attack still
PANTHERS- attack looks awesome, lot of points in the this match me thinks.
STORM- given up tipping against this lot

Sunday
ROOSTERS- toughest pick this week i think, roosters but not by much
EELS- no Stewart no win for the gits, eels bounce back with point to prove

Brett Stewart is out for 5 months. Same injury as last season but this time it's the other knee, expected back near round 20.
That's a disaster for Manly, i dont think they'll make the top 8 now with him out, he's that important to them IMO. I thought they'd just sneak in the 8 but not now. David Williams is out for a couple of months aswell although that could be a good thing for them with the form he was in last year.
Robertson will be FB. Chris Bailey is playing centre this week, I'd move Foran out to centre and bring the young guy Hodkinson in at halfback.

souths - titans - both poor last round. give the bunnies another chance at home. souths

dragons / dogs - saints with ennis out but dogs motivated for the result at kogarah last year

warriors / sharks - warriors at home after unlucky not to win at titans

knights / storm - storm in a gritty encounter with newcastle a good chance for the upset

cowboys / penrith - cowboys, penrith poor away record

eels / manly - eels by plenty with manly without stewart and having to back up from MNF

roosters / tigers - game of the round, roosters, wests tired after monday night, hope tigers win though

canberra / broncos - raiders at home

You lot are brave tipping the Raiders. Did you not watch our game last week? Us being strong at home is becoming a myth. It's still the only place we can win, but even then it's becoming more and more sp.

That said, we've got plenty of players out now and that's usually when we play our best for some reason.

Another 16 point lead we've given away. Again the 1st 20s been a sh*thouse followed by a decent second part to the half. We just seem to have no idea how to get over the line and if the "kick to Idris" tactic doesnt work were stuffed.

Cant see a comeback anyway. Saints will score again and we cant kick goals

Oh, but the Morris' "fight" at the end when the others were getting heated was quality

We didnt have a clue how to break them down and they destroyed us up the middle.

Burgess with 6 drives, 51 metres and 11 tackles in the 1st half. Not bad stats. Didnt see too much of it because i was too focused on the Doggieflogging but Im hoping this is a better game :lol.:

I switched to this game at half time in the Dragons vs Dogs game. Burgess has been solid. had a half a dozen carries. Won 2 penalties off the back of finding the floor in the tackle. replaced after 27 mins.

Tbh, both teams look poor. The Bunnies have looked clueless at the back end of their sets, and Sandow looks a bit lost out there. Souths dont seem to be able to be patient and build pressure. Their last tackle options are very poor indeed.

The Titans are looking out of sorts too. Their kicking game has also been poor, and they haven't looked that threatening at all (which tells you how poor Souths have been when the Titans are going into the break in front). Bird has been quiet. He has put some big hits in, but is getting caught in possession a lot.

Both teams need to step it up a few notches at half time. I'm hoping the Rabbitohs get going and Sutton and Sandow start to create something. But I my head thinks the Titans will push on and get the win.

I think I just heard Scott Prince's sigh of relief from here!

I can't believe Souths haven't put this game away!

South's blew it. They should have finished the game off when they had the chance! 2 poor sides out there tonight!

How crap were they. If Burgess and Taylor were stopped they didnt have a clue

Souths were terrible for 70 minutes of that match. They had a decent 10 minute spell mid way through that second half, where they had the Titans on the ropes, and had numerous chances to put the game to bed.

Sandow was garbage tonight. If he spent as much time on his kicking and and last tackle plays as he does trying to put the big shoulder on everyone, then things might have been different. Sutton tried hard, but was largely pedestrian. Luke was very ordinary too. Much of their game was one off the ruck and drive.

The Titans were as bad as I have ever seen them tonight, and they still managed to beat Souths.
