Which WOULD NOT go to anything associated with the BEARS so Union would take over. It will cause more trouble then what it's worth.

there are no big rugby union clubs in sydney, they are mickey mouse teams
your nearest competing NRL clubs are newcastle and the roosters
you currently have a massive part of sydney, and its the richest bit
manly are important to the nrl for their geographical area ie only club in the north of sydney, and they have a long way to go to reach their potential
manly should target crowds of 20,000 as a minimum, then work their buts off getting brookie upgraded
theyve only recently started trying properly to get money for brookie
manly should eventually aim for crowds of 30,000 given their geographical area

| They have been trying to get money for upgrades for Brookie for ages. Kerry Sibraa got $10 million for it but because of three idiots(Cr. Kirsch - ask a hardcore Manly fan there feelings on her and it wouldn't be nice) on the Warringah Council they can't spend it.
If Manly Council had the money Mayor Jean Hay(Arko's sister) would fix up Manly Oval and they would play there.
But I agree we should be getting 20,000 though btw 30,000 might be a bit hard Brookie biggest crowd was a touch over 23,000 as it stands

they cant leave brookie, thats part of the fabric of the nrl
its a big ground and can easily handle some good sized stands
i reckon now they are seriously pushing for an upgraded brookie funds will come
people are starting to recngnize the value of an nrl team
the next state govt is looking like its liberal so it could be your turn!

| Brookvale would need a huge sum spending on it to get it close to a modern stadium. I can't see the skint NSW Govt pumping in $200mill to a safe political seat can you? Manly's crowds have actually dropped in the last 5 years and are hovering around the 13k mark. How many years do you anticipate it taking them to get up to 30k?

| its a drop in the ocean and you know it. I've seen the development plans for NIB (which is already better than Brookie) and the costs and can guess at how much it would cost to get Brookie up to standard, let alone get it to a state that would make it a viable ground for the countries top competition for the next 25 years. Manly is a safe seat and hasn't been held by any major party except the Liberals for decades
ps you forgot to tell me how long till Manly crack the 30k

Jb you know as much about RL in sydney as i know about AFL in perth. lets stick to our respective areas of expertise
better still go and use google maps and google manly / brookvale and then moore park eastern suburbs and see how far apart they are
look at the map of sydney and see how many teams we have north of the bridge

you ignorant man you, you have a go about telling JB about Sydney RL.
Listen everyone, in case you listen to Dally.
The NSWRL clubs have their own RL districts. Not all of these clubs are in the first grade competition available to them ie. NRL. However there are clubs that have teams in all the other grades available to them. Balmain, Wests and Norths.
These RL Districts have set geographical areas.
So you know, as Dally doesn't. Manly's goes from Spit Bridge to Palm Beach (The Peninsular) and a little bit inland to places like Forestville, Belrose.
North Sydney RLFC's district goes from the Harbour Bridge to the Hawkesbury, ir borders Balmain's and even Parra's on it's western boundaries and then Newcastle's on it's north. It takes in suburbs like, Kirribilli, Mosman, then goes all the way up the Pacific Highway to Asquith and Hornsby, on the west it goes to places like Pennant Hills, Cherrybrook and Dural!!!
So please stop referring to the North Shore as Manly's. It isn't. Only someone who has no idea about footy would say such a thing.
