I see it has become normal practice to call anyone who dares question anything at Salford jealous, although why anyone would be jealous of a club in a rented stadium that generates no revenue for them and that is near impossible to get to, with a mediocre team, paper thin squad who were knocked out of the cup by lower league opposition, a media whore of an owner who understands nothing about running a professional sports club (see losses when they can be bothered filing) and who prefers to blame everyone else for his mistakes, is utterly beyond me.

If Salford get sucked into the Middle 8 this year, I suspect that Marwan may well call it a day and return to his ponies full time.

Poor stewarding but pathetic from the Salford fans there. Same goes for their booing the ref off at half time. Bar a couple of harsh calls early in the half he's been pretty good and Salford are lucky not to be down to 12 men.

But then I guess the ref is something else they can blame along with the fixture list, the disciplinary, the public of Manchester and the area, Salford council, the previous owners, other RL clubs and of course the RFL.

They were very quick a few weeks ago in telling my 7 year old daughter that she couldn't sit on a barrier so I find it hard to believe that they've let someone throw something on to the pitch endangering players and officials!

They were throwing stuff at Ryan Brierley at the end of the Leigh match too as he went to applaud them as he is a Salford fan. Small minority but still pathetic.

must say we should all be jealous of salford, i have a lot of time for some of the genuine salford fans i've met over the years but , seriously, jealous? jealous of a team who couldn't muster a single point, and to be truthful never looked like it either.
a soulless stadium which is devoid of atmosphere and a fanbase that is shrinking game by game.
the loss tonight was a bit too much to take for some of their fans, the ones who did stay until the end.

Tbf pretty much everyone except him and Salford fans knew this was going to happen - there are certain areas of the country where RL will just simply never work, and unfortunately that area's one of them.
If he doesn't bail at the end of this season I reckon it'll be next year.

I feel for the genuine Salford fans who stick with there team through thick and thin. Through relegation, promotion and who didn't abandon ship when it looked liked Salford would be no more.

They are still a team building. Putting a quick fix team of quality wasn't a bad call as long as they start to build a solid squad together now.

Salford fans won't go. A lot were promised top 4 rugby and have been let down. The ground isn't in the greatest location and there history seems to have been dropped for the sake of a Red Devils brand.

Until we start winning games, making top 6, challenge cup runs, don't be suprised that our crowds are low. If we are still getting average 4k after that, then I agree we are flogging a dead horse. Pardon the pun.

Salford have won games. A crowd of under 2k is indicative of more than just poor on-field performance affecting crowds. It shows a poor off-field setup. There's obviously very little going on to entice people to come to games. And little to interest them once they're there.

I would have some sympathy if Salford were doing this off their own income and so were severely restricted in what they could do. But they're not. With Koukash's money there should be significantly more people there and significantly more people engaged by the club.

People bang on about the ground location but Sale managed to attract over 7,000 today to the same stadium, so that's just a convenient excuse. Sale are also a mid-table team, so Salford not being a winning team doesn't wash either. 'Him' is spot on with his post.
